You'll need to adjust to ball instead of heel walking but it's not too horrible. Expect cramps for the first couple days if you wear them all day, lots of foot muscles are underdeveloped due to shoe/boot support

I think... that being under the impression you have a beltfed machine gun is possibly more dangerous then simply not having a beltfed machine gun.

Good MGs are built like tanks and should be able to run through neglect and adverse conditions. Even then, there is no shortage of footage of even the venerable M2, 240s, and SAWs getting racked after a short string of rounds over and over in gunfights.

Taking a beltfed upper and combining it with internals that function with self flagellation intrinsic to their design is possibly a very very bad idea because when it goes down you've got a big gap in your line.

They are not very good at reducing sound or flash since their primary design focus is generating the least amount of back pressure as possible in order to minimize impact on weapon function
Hybrid or reduced back pressure designs are what you should be looking at for an AR15 since it isn't as sensitive to back pressure as something like a mini 14 and you will still get acceptable sound/flash hiding performance while benefiting from a very low amount of gas to the face
