>be me
>want to buy my first pistol
>hey the Glock 43x MOS looks pretty good
>$485.99
>well thats quite pricey, let me look around
>"AYOOO CHECKK OUT Brandon Herrera's FirearmDirectClub FRZ!!!" "They Be Having Low Prices On God!"
>check it out and signup
>Glock 43x MOS is only $427.10..."OH SHIT, I really hit the jackpot man."

>Check Out
>Shipping - $30
>2.5% Credit Card Fee (for some reason) - $10.68
>Shipping Protection - $5.75
>TOTAL = $473.53
Really Nigga
...If you go from $485.99 down to $473.53, you do not save. You actually spent/LOST money. Is this really worth $15.99 a month? This seems like a scam bros, and I still need to pay a $50 FFL after all of this, so I will only be saving a few bucks at most.

Generally the way the gun industry works, a manufacturer/importer sells the majority of their products to distributors so there are basically 4 prices that matter.
Manufacturing cost - What an item actually costs the manufacturer.
Dealer cost - What dealers pay.
MAP - Minimum Advertised Price, or the lowest price a dealer can advertise a product at. They can sell individual guns below this cost, but if they are doing it a lot they are liable to get cut off from future sales. This is to prevent dealers undercutting each other until none of them can make money.
MSRP - Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, usually the regular going rate for an item +/- a few %.

It sounds like what they are shilling here is a subscription service where they are selling you guns around MAP and then bolting on a bunch of junk fees besides just the monthly subscription they are trying to slowly walletrape you with. It's a shit deal and you can probably get a better price from a dropshipper selling a few $ above dealer cost, or shop around locally and spend a few extra bucks that help keep your LGS open.

You paid a subscription fee to buy a gun? This isn't a live service.

>>2.5% Credit Card Fee (for some reason)
You might not know this, but businesses have to pay a processing fee to accept credit cards. 2.5% is pretty typical.

>But most stores don't charge that!
Sure they do, every expense a business has gets passed onto its customers. It's just built into the price and they're not telling you about it. In fact, it's even worse because they're charging people who pay via other means the credit card fee.

>Is this really worth $15.99 a month? This seems like a scam bros
Almost certainly a scam. It could save you money if you buy a lot of the right kind of things but probably not, and you'd have to do some homework to figure out exactly.

This guy is a shill and a fraud, he is a /k/Meme and nobody here worth a damn actually takes anything he puts out seriously.
Brandon is the same guy that has taken money from every guntuber scam thats ever happened. Not to mention Established Titles being the front man of all of this. Brandon is just some rich kid who likes the aesthetics of /k/ military culture and surrounds himself with veteran fudds to maintain an appearance of being a hecking HaRdCoRe AlPhA mAlE.

427.10 is literally 10 cents over MTP for a 43x MOS. It's not surprising at all that they tack on all those extras. Although to be fair, handguns are required to ship next day air, so shipping always sucks

If you find a Glock for cheap online, just ask the store if they'll do a price match. If you're buying new anyway, you might as well buy in-store. I'm sure 99% of gun stores carry the Glock you want.

They are getting around MAP because it's a subscription service, almost like a buy group. MAP gor a 43x MOS is $485

>FirearmDirectClub
Basically the new GunWarehouse. Those clubs literally inform you that it's for people who buy often. If you worked for a company with an armory and needed to buy many parts every month, then it'd be worth it. If you're only buying a few things a month, then never do these subscriptions.

You're a fucking moron anon. You wasted all that time and effort, got a subscription, and even if it had somehow panned out it would have been for $50.

Absolute fucking state of consumers.

Basically yes. The objective is to keep one dealer from taking out a bunch of credit and selling guns at razor thin margins until all the other stores in the area go under. In reality, dropshippers (who never even touch the guns they sell) do that anyway and distributors allow it because they still get a lot of sales so these MAP rules only really apply to small dealers that have overhead to pay for and customers/background checks/bound books to manage.

That's why a gun costs $400 on a clearance sale at your LGS but $305 on Bud's.
