A ~2010s car I've used as a gauge for used lot price range (ie. is this place cheap, reasonable, or insane when it comes to pricing?) goes for like $3k locally and would be way more reliable (and have better parts availability). All the 90s cars are rusted to shit underneath anyways because of road salt as well. Just isn't worth it despite it being a more reasonable option for what I need it to do than what I have now, which sucks as it'd be perfect for going to the range or going hunting. I'm really cramming all the shit in my car ATM so god forbid someone wants to sit in the back during hunting season.
