yeah and i'm sure if you got bubba's pre-dented thrice-reloaded black powder steel case lead nose 9mm, you'd get 7 cents a round.
current lowest asking price for legit ammo is 19 cpr

I fucking hate the world so much bros. Why does everything have to cost so damn much?

OP here, I feel you, nevertheless despite this thread being on the wrong board, this whole hobby is still worse (as is everything) than it was 5-6 years ago.

I remember
>the days of $15 bricks of 22lr
>$8 for a box of 9mm (retail)
>$6 for a box of 5.56 (20 rounds)
>And also the oddball calibers like 45, 40, 380, 32, etc are basically all gone now

It's just kinda sad to see. I am a /o/ crossposter too, and I see it with cars too. Hobbies are no longer an affordable way to fill your time, everything has become a rich man's game.

My NA Miata? I paid $2300 in 2012. It's now probably still worth 10k. Absurdity.

I blame stimmy bux, PPP fraud and non-white speculators. Have you ever tried to sell a car on faceberg? I don't use that shit but supposedly it's all jeets and spics trying to lowball so they can flip your old car.

in 2019, i bought a 2006 pontiac gto for $18.5k. its in great shape, i love it, no major issues.

could sell it today for $25-$27k. i know theyre rare and all, but i have no idea how a car like that appreciates. $27k is used S550 money, and having owned both, the Mustang is a substantially better car than a 20 year old boat.

You can blame Congress making the money printers go brrr! since at least Vietnam and the Great Society. Congress had the printers hit Overdrive trying to make Reagan look bad, and then hit the afterburners during Covid. Some feel Wiemar-like hyperinflation is on the menu for the 2030's.

NTA but anon I'm not even an /o/ guy, I just want a shitty old 90s car and I can't find one example of the model I'm looking for in any color or condition under $3500. It's insanity. A ~2010s car I've used as a gauge for used lot price range (ie. is this place cheap, reasonable, or insane when it comes to pricing?) goes for like $3k locally and would be way more reliable (and have better parts availability). All the 90s cars are rusted to shit underneath anyways because of road salt as well. Just isn't worth it despite it being a more reasonable option for what I need it to do than what I have now, which sucks as it'd be perfect for going to the range or going hunting. I'm really cramming all the shit in my car ATM so god forbid someone wants to sit in the back during hunting season.

>hmm, yes, I think I will scrap my car to get $3.5k-4.5k off a new car and acquire like $15k+ in debt like 1 year after the 2008 financial crisis
>oh yeah also lol fuck late millenials, gen z, and gen a (etc) they're not getting a car cheap
>and fuck future me when I need a used car because 677,081 vehicles have been removed from the potential used car market just from cash for clunkers alone
Who the fuck actually ever thought this was a good idea other than politicians, retards, and car company CEOs I will never know. Unless your car is well and truly fucked, it doesn't make sense to participate. And even then, you have to buy a NEW car with that $3.5-4.5k voucher - and your current one has to run enough to drive it there!
