Since nazis always how could Germany have won.
How could poland have stoped the USSR and nazi germany from conquering them?
Assume you go back in time and have 5 years to prepare poland, they will do anything you say.

the British Commonwealth gives them all their army equipment, all their fighters, and Poland goes to full war economy in 1938

the Germans and Soviets invaded with about a million men each iirc so 3 or 4 times that number on each border ought to do the trick

poland was fucked regardless

nazi germany was fucked regardless in a military conflict. however, they may have had a chance with an ideological victory by pushing fascism abroad. there were pro-fascist elements in the US, UK, and other Western nations that quickly turned anti-fascist once war broke out.

The Polish Turtle

game start is 1933 scenario, furious AI, normal difficulty.
the aim is to defend Poland until the total consumption of German resources in oil and the US atomic war.

to get the result:
- join the Allies immediately at the start of the game, in order to get some FREE resources.
- defend 2 regions with the fortresses at the highest level in order to prevent the stupid AI from attacking, at least one region with an objective point and at least one region with a minimum amount of resources that allows you to survive for a long time.

Katovice will be defended with infantry and cavalry. Krakov with the maximum possible amount of mountain troops. to achieve this, part of the regular troops must be converted into specialized units. I repeat do not build new units. but convert and then add the artillery on all the troops including the cavalry, so even if it is slowed down it only has to do turtle.
Promoting Galica to higher ranks wouldn't be wrong, but there isn't a headquarters that allows you to share qualities with other generals in adjacent regions. therefore the promotion is practically useless. personal opinion ! there is no time and resources to do an HQ.

The construction of the forts and anti aircraft guns must begin immediately. The construction of the artillery will begin in the 1937.

the Krakov airbase is essential as the years progress, the Americans and the British will use it in the 40's with success.
this will have to be your economy at the beginning of the war, for a while you can continue to build, then the end of resources will put an end to developments. all the artillery will be completed. the forts will reach level 7 in 1940. if you want you can stop the production, but I prefer to leave them active. stupid AI will not be willing to attack, and in total confusion he does not attack France either. !!!
in 1943 Katovice will reach level 8.
in 1946 Germany power will begin to decline and it will even be possible to think about getting out of the turtle.

once Poland has been reconquered, one can think of attacking the USSR and can be successfully conquered. a USSR puppet under the control of Poland allows to boost Polish industries to an incredible level.

If the French would have just sent troops over their Maginot line like they promised to do, they would have found that Germany's entire industrial base was very loosely guarded and the French could have made substantial captures early enough in the war that France wouldn't have fallen, the British would have showed up to back them up, and saved the world 10,000 KIA.
But, the French were tremendous pussies.

Give Danzig back and form an alliance with Germany. In this version of events, WWII begins as Poland, France, the UK, and Italy versus the USSR. Japan would likely still declare war against the USA, the UK, and the Netherlands, but this time Germany might be smart enough not to join them.

What the fuck are you talking about?

WWII started when Germany invaded Poland, and Poland decided not to roll over like Austria had. Poland was forsaken by the rest of Europe and left to be raped in a short sighted attempt at appeasement. We know how that turned out.

yes, the allies should have started WWIII before WWII was even over.
all you had to do was not try to hold the border, give the Germans some land so you could hold a sensible defensible line giving the French and English the time to mobilize and take the Germans in the rear

Nazi Germany almost enjoyed victory on D-day.
the battle of the bulge almost forced the allies to sue for peace.
the only real mistake was invading Russia. you can't beat the Russian winter through willpower alone.
Anonymous No.64086029
>>64085397
No, it's accurate, with the caveat that quite a few of those countries "invaded" Poland by defending themselves from Polish invasions.
Poland is like Russia if Russia were successfully defeated and partitioned at some point, so it would not be a credible threat, just a lot of permanent revanchist seething.

That would have bought Poland at best a few more months before Germany started nibbling for more land. And given that the same strategy had failed in Czechoslovakia just a year prior, nobody had no reason to believe that surrendering an inch a of Polish territory wouldn't result in the same outcome.

Hitler envisioned Poland as part of his lebensraum, like Slovakia and Croatia ended up. A client state, but not one run according to the all out 've must kill ze untermenschen' policy of the later years.
He also expected France and Britain to just fold on Danzig, like they had several times before.

There's no outcome where Nazism works anon.
It's fundamentally very stupid and cannot succeed.

The fact that you imagine things just being given to them in order for them to survive should tell you what chances of survival they really had.
You're talking like a zigger.

>The Saar Offensive was the French invasion of Saarland, Germany, in the first stages of World War II, from September 7 to October 16, 1939, in response to the German invasion of Poland on 1 September 1939. The original plans called for 40 divisions, one armored division, three mechanised divisions, 78 artillery regiments and 40 tank battalions to assist Poland, which was then under invasion, by attacking Germany's neglected western front. Despite 30 divisions advancing to the border (and in some cases across it), the attack did not have the expected result.
>When the swift victory in Poland allowed Germany to reinforce its lines with homecoming troops, the offensive was halted.
Poles should have fought harder if they didn't want to get occupied.

Poland's a sore looser for the French and the Brits not coming to their aid fast enough.
But when Hitler was putting the screws on the Czechs Poland didn't back them up. No instead it made sure to get it's pound of flesh. Why? well this region had a polish speaking population so it had to be a part of Poland ofc. Letting the Czech republic fall is a fair prize to pay for it.
The Poles where driven by the same desire to incorporate all their foreign Poles as the Germans where with the foreign Germans. They just sucked at it.
>>64089299
that's not what the annon is saying
he's pointing out that getting double invades, partitioned, your entire elite getting killed off, 4 years of brutal occupation and a failed uprising. Before becoming the USSR's bitch probably wasn't worth Danzig. One or even two of those being mitigated was worth Danzig.

No the best the Germans would have accomplished is maybe pushing the British off their beaches, even at the absolute worst situation Utah was going to be held and held easily and the Germans would have had to hope they could pocket the Allies on the Peninsula while the allies built up more and more men for a break out.
