I wish .45 GAP caught on and .45 acp got supplanted by .45 super as the standard. The frames are way too big on .45 acp for how anemic the round is, even in +p. Whats even worse is how few .45 acp guns can handle .45 super. All these guns should be able to switch over to 10mm with only a barrel and recoil spring change, but no many would get demolished shooting mid range 10mm because theyre built for shit ass .45 acp

No it doesn't. Several Youtubers have performed ballistic gelatin tests going so far as to compare even 45 Super with 10mm, and yet even 45 Super is left wanting when compared to 10mm.

If you convert a gun to .45 Super or .450 SMC, you can still shoot regular .45 ACP through the gun as is. If you convert a gun to .460 Rowland then you have to change the springs whenever you want to go back to .45 ACP and change the springs again to return to .460 Rowland.

In what way was it lackluster? There is only a 100fps difference at best. 45+p can zip through 2 blocks of gel or expand to 1 inch depending on the loading. Temporary wound cavity from cherry picked loadings? Also gel tests mean fuck all in reality but you're a caliberlet and won't make it anyways.

I find this pretty funny as a guy thinking about a G21 just because of the GIRTH, my fingers are really long and I think I might find them comfier than small frame double stacks. Also .45 acp is partially cool because of how hot you can load it compared to factory ammo, and that isn't even getting into .460 Rowland

Capacity is a meme unless you are shooting IPSC or somehow fucked up so badly that find yourself in a Black Hawk Down situation. There are 10-round mags for single-stack 1911s. Are you really ever going to ever need more than that + one reload? I mean yeah more ammo is always a good thing, but there's also such a thing as diminishing returns.

.45 isn't anemic because the recoil is comparable to 9mm/.40 depending on the load you're using which is the Goldilocks zone for most shooters when it comes to controllable recoil at speed. It isn't gay because you can load it way hotter than that and up to modern specs with a spring change. It literally lets you do what you want. Frankly, I think you're the one being anemic and gay here.

They should be built from the ground up around .45 super and then if youre a fag you can get a lower poundage spring (or it even comes out the box with multiple springs since theyre dirt cheap anyway) for anemic rounds. They should all be tanks ready for beefed up handloads like the USP, not barely scraping by to not explode with standard pressure saami loads
