How do I design and build a revolver?
I want to make my own break action DA revolver. I can purchase a cylinder and barrel, maybe even some of the fire control group, but the frame and locking mechanism I will of course have to make myself. I only have basic metalworking tools (files, grinders, torches, hand drills and the like).
How do I avoid blowing myself up?

I'd start by studying the patent drawings of existing break-action revolvers.
