That it has taken this fucking long is surprising. I remember doing the classes for a commercial drone license back in 2019 and finding the incredibly anal rules ridiculous. Maybe some of the details were limited to the class being taught but I remember it being an uncompromising rule then that someone had to always maintain visual on the drone such that the operator might be looking down on the display someone else had to keep an eye on it and also constantly relate the motions (or have the drone operator relay it). I didn't end up pursuing it but I had assumed they got rid of that retarded restrictions at some point, not literally today though.

Whatever assassination attempt happened a few months ago was obviously a photo-op, if Secret Service had let a guy with a gun get within 300 meters of the president, they would have all been fired. So any drone would have definitely been caught

The loitering munition .... is the 21st Century equivalent of the mortar.

Soon, it will be as natural for us to see the loitering munition platoon as an integral part of an infantry company in the same way that the organic mortar or ATGM platoon is. In fact, the loitering munition will eventually be able to replace both.

In time, instead of a grenade launcher, every rifleman may even handcarry a packed FPV drone which can be used to drop explosives on the heads of the enemy. Signallers will not need to carry a sognal set or anntenae, a loitering UAV overhead will be able to function as a aerial rebro station. Forward air controllers will be obsolete as the UAV takes over. Commanders will not need a GPS, compass or binoculars, the UAV offers unlimited and unhindered line of sight as a navigation aid. UAVs will be able to carry out resupply missions by delivering ammunition, rations, and medical supplies to isolated units.

Eventually ..... we may not even need to carry toilet paper into the field. The UAV will wipe our asses and act as a flying bidet

>Le evil megacorp is at fault a dumb bitch dropped a cup on herself.
Reminder that the same people who brought you the McDonald's coffee lawsuit have also brought you the boneless chicken wings lawsuit.
Where a guy bought "boneless chicken wings" in a restaurant, almost choked to death on a chicken bone in it, and the mutt "court" has ruled that, quote, "no reasonable person would ever assume that boneless chicken wings don't have bones in them."
Both lawsuits are sides of the same coin.
The coin named mutt "legal system" is subhuman savagery that makes Sharia law look progressive and civilized.
Picrelated is something called truck nuts, and mutt court has ruled that displaying them is free speech protected by the First Amendment, this is what Americans are talking about when they brag about their free speech.

retard the coffe was over 100 degrees, when it spilled it gave the lady in question 3rd degree burns on her private parts.
can you imagine the pure agony of getting 3rd degree burns on your dick and balls?
punitive damages against corporations are better then what we have. Why? because it allows a court to force them to change policy.
Because it wasn't the first time that Mc Donalds got sued over third degree burns caused by it's boiling coffee. But the purely compensatory damage rules in those cases wasn't enough to force change because changing store policy would cost more than the damages cause by one or two people a year getting horrific third degree burns.
Had this happened in a legal system without punitive damages then Mc Donald's would still be serving boiling hot coffee and just taking the purely compensatory damages suits brought against it.
why? because a couple hundred k per year isn't so much as worth a 5 minute discussion at a board meeting that's why.

I didn't know it was specifically illegal to fly out of sight for radio controlled aircraft, I just figured it was a matter of practicality. But I'm old and r/c aircraft weren't called drones yet and cameras were pretty expensive so it made otherwise pretty impractical and expensive to control and fly out of visual range.
