Everyone Talks about Tisas's GI poverty option but why is there no love for their Night stalker model? It looks so sexo and why wouldn't you just save $100 more to upgrade from the Tisas Gov. to the Girsan untouchable, and from then just $40 more to the nightstalker? I know People love buying many shitty/uneeded pistols and rifles but wow bro just wait till next paycheck.

prices taken from psa aug 7th btw (though ive seen the Rock island at $350 in person)

It’s named after a serial killer. I thought my Nighthawk Predator was bad.

i got a 92FS instead at $650 a few years ago
why?
polymer frame isn't a good daily carry for me. I ride a motorcycle.
Its survived 3 crashes and Ive totaled two bikes, Honda & Suzuki. The 92 still allows me to shoot a 1 inch group at 15 yards which I could improve if I wasn't poor and could afford more ammo to practice. Same barrel, same frame, though the muzzle is shaved a bit from asphalt.
>inb4 gun went flying down the highway
it was in a shoulder holster, I dislike hip/leg drop holsters for riding.

I think most of the people on this board disagree. That is one ugly 1911.

Its not and yea its terrible that ive totaled two bikes, But the other drivers were found to be at fault. the third and most recent incident I just used too much rear brake and the tire slid out. just being bluntly honest about my situation and why i like fully metal frames Β―_(ツ)_/Β―

I got the Tisas Service model a couple years back for cheap as fuck, I think it sub $300. It is actually a great gun, solid as fuck, accurate and action is smooth as butter. No malfunctions so far with any ammo Ive run through it. Only thing that takes some getting used to is the GI sights, it would be nice to have something better and would make it perfect, but for $300... its pretty great.

Because most people correctly understand that the 1911 is an obsolete platform and are mostly purchasing them as range toys and novelty pieces.

$330 is a great price for get to pretend to be GI Joe, and putting an extra $100 is only polishing a turd and ruining whatever nostalgia factor is at play with the 1911.

The $330 government version is a great value for someone who already owns a modern pistol and is looking for a 1911 for purely non-practical reasons.

>the 1911 is an obsolete platform
FBI SWAT and HRT used it until 2018, and the muhreens were using it up until 2023. Just because it's an old design doesn't mean it's obsolete. It has the best trigger and ergos of any handgun, which counts for a lot. Compfags still love them in the double-stack 9mm format. Tisas Duty is the best value in their product line fwiw.

I traded my first handgun, a Ruger Pi9DC to a dirt bike rider for who wanted it for the same reason. Metal frames hold up better if you eat shit on a bike.

That said, I'd rather ride innawoods than around distracted Karens blowing red lights in 3 ton SUVs at 50+ MPH. Everyone I know who rode a bike got hit. Every single one by a woman. 3 died, 2 crippled for life, 1 still riding.

I get that riding is a passion but you have to have eyes on the back of your head and a 6th sense for other people's stupidity. It's really a matter of time. Stay safe out there.

Nightstalker is ugly asf.

Great price though. The B45 is a better choice IMO. But any Tisas is a great buy. I live all mine and they all have yet to have a single issue. Just need to swap out triggers and grips and they are ready to rock!

I loved the GS for its nimbleness, 6 gears made cruising at 70 possible. VLX made cruising at 90 easy but it only had 4 gears. Harley is also just too damn expensive & only getting worse.

I was shoulder holster carrying a G43X when I wiped and it broke my ribs on that side. Only safe place to carry IMO is a chest holster or kit bag.

I was really looking closely at an M1911A1 ASF last night and I think I'm gonna buy one. $480 all day is crazy to me. I could easily spice up an ASF to make it relevant but the biggest problem is probably the front sight.
