I did a hinge and AR arm brace so that I could fold it. Had a professional do the measure, drill, and tap but you could just caveman it with a power drill and a bolt/nut and loctite.

I remember the weird grey area after braces were new, where they said AR buffer tubes could only use braces on rifles with the buffer tube in the design, so not AKs. I'm guessing it's just wide open now?
