The CMMG .22lr conversion bolt for an AR-15. I've heard they either work or don't work and it's like 50/50 whether they do or not. I got one that didn't work and it pissed me off especially knowing people who got one that worked and they seem to like it a lot. Anyways I'm never getting one again

Absolute piece of shit saturday night special gang warfare blaster.
>worst trigger on earth
>terrible accuracy from factory
>irons suck (cmon, at least paint the front post)
>started failing to eject within 150 total rounds fired
>started failing to fire within 200 total rounds fired
>after about 200 rounds it's completely dead
I cannot be bothered to open it up to take a look. It has been a piece of shit since the beginning and I'm glad I have an excuse to ditch it. But it was under $200 including tax, bought in a gun store (new, never used), so whatever

Nothing cmmg makes is good. I see them shilled here semi regularly, and I'm pretty sure they just spend all their budget on marketing and the guns all have substandard metal put in them and don't work for extravagant prices. I bought into their radial delayed PCC meme gun in 45 and it never went through a whole mag without failure, I sent it back to get fixed and when they sent it back to me it still didn't fucking work.

Yeah I fell for it once and learned my lesson. It's annoying because a lot of their stuff really does seem cool and innovative and you would think for what they charge they would make sure it works, but nope it's garbage. Just about any of their products has piles of people complaining about it not functioning.

FWIW a guy had one of the 9mm radial delay pistols with the fancy brace that you just yank to extend. Basically set up as it came out of the factory with a red dot. Never heard him have problems with it that range trip and he even let me shoot it after he noticed my rifle and thought it was neat. No jams and pretty smooth. Might've been designed for 9mm first with 45 as an afterthought. Not uncommon for that to happen but can't think of another example. But yes they are pretty fucking expensive. The finish on that thing was nice (some greyish silverish beadblasted look) but it was like $1200.

Yeah it's like the other guy said, they tend to be hit or miss 50/50 but if you spend1700 bucks on a clunker it sucks. Also the 45 came out a year or 2 before the other calibers and it was originally called the "guard" not banshee. I bought an early one so that might have been part of the problem but I still don't trust them.

NTA but FWIW the B-TM for the 10/22 is one of my favorite purchases. I have mine set up for hunting and with the QD swivels it works great (one built in the Samson barrel band, one cup QD attached to the back). Only mod I've made to the stock is to shim the screw that screws the rear QD on with a plastic washer IIRC for noise/jiggle reduction. And some fabric tape to stop the dinging and pinging. I'm heavily considering buying a Mini-14 one day to also immediately throw in a Samson stock. Maybe I'll get the 300BO version, who knows. Only reason I say I might get the 300 version is I already silenced the 10/22. Might want a matching bigger game gun also quiet. 50/50 whether it's a great or retarded idea in my head. Gun looks very similar to this but the barrel band is silver and I have the heat shield they strangely left out (no rear sight dovetail wtf?). IDK what kind of fun you can or can't have if you're in California but it's not a bad choice if you can have folders IMO. Minis always felt short to me as-is for whatever reason. Can't imagine one with a folding stock.

The only reason they could do that is that Lancaster-Type oval-bore rifling, and Paradox-type rifling doesn't legally count as rifling in Vatnikstan.
In the US it does. Even micro-groove rifling with depth measured in nanometers counts, as does straight un-twisted rifling.

I own an "Anvil" which is what they used to call their .458 Socom built on an AR-10 size frame. It's basically the same gun as the Mutant but set up for .458 instead of 7.62x39.
It's been very reliable, has no problem eating full pressure handloads. Accuracy is good, fit and finish is mid-tier. It's not some super nice gucci gun but it works well.

Funny, because that's my choice for 5.56 folding gun if I do go through with getting a 300 Mini (which, hey, Ruger should really call them Mini 300s, kinda like the Mini 30).

>>64100020
Yeah I gotta do further research. Hard to find much on the 300 BO versions. Problem is, though, IIRC a lot of the guys who do have videos on them, for whatever god damn reason, don't silence them. Hell of a review for a gun in a caliber meant to be silenced. Personally I don't care whether the stock is pre-installed or not; the pre-built Ruger 10/22s with the stock aren't the best version of a B-TM themed 10/22 anyways. 16" barrel, irons, threaded, great. But no rear sight dovetail for the specially made heat shield to go with the stock set. Missing the barrel band as well, just includes the Ruger brand one. And only available in blued gun/black hardware or stainless gun/silver hardware. No mix and match colors; I think a stainless receiver, blued barrel, silver band, stainless stock would look SLICK. Ditto the inverse, maybe.

Lol thanks. I put my 10/22 together before the factory B-TM models were available. That also meant I had to find a model where iron sights were included with a threaded barrel which was hard (there is or were two, 31113 and a Bass Pro exclusive). Only downside I ended up with was not getting a 16.1" (?) inch barrel like the factory models and instead an 18.5". But I ended up with a much more complete rifle anyways so whatever. Once the factory built 10/22s came out I noticed just how many features they were missing compared to mine since I had to dig through the Samson catalog over and over again while I waited for my 10/22, Samson parts, other improvement parts, etc. Still really don't understand why Ruger or MGE (it's their exclusive model) don't just take that barrel and send them through one more process to give them a dovetail and include the $26 barrel band and a $25 heat shield on a ~$700 10/22 model. Not sure what gun they may have used that barrel on before (IIRC an anniversary model used it) but why skip the dovetail on this model? Also pic does not fit thread, actually the opposite.

I'm sorry to tell you that If you stick a light on a 1911 which also has a side rail, which you then somehow mount a stock on all out of position... that is not a shoulder stock. It's not in line with the chamber, barrel, or actuating mechanism. You put a stock on a light which has a pistol on it. It's 100% dependent on the pistol grip.

It depends on if the ATF agent reviewing your case has been getting enough pussy lately whether or not this will fly. ATF will absolutely and has taken people to federal court and harassed them fully knowing they were not violating the NFA. Good example is that β€œblack beard” dumbass rifle that they said had a β€œstock” when all the owner did was place a rubber pad (like one that goes on the bottom of a stool leg) on the buffer tube to make his ar pistol not slip on smooth ground when he set it down. I do agree with what you’re saying but the ATF is full of fat retards who don’t even know how guns work.
