more than 15 years after it was first revealed there is finally official statement from the PLA about the J-20 capacity.
https://imgur.com/a/0vDOkTL
>voice over: Voiceover: The J20 has high stealth, high situational awareness, and high maneuverability. With a supersonic cruise speed of 1.8 Mach, it can quickly reach combat areas and gain an advantage in beyond-visual-range air combat, enabling it to detect and attack the enemy first.

They actually kept it under the lid for a pretty long term. PLA must be the most low profile military in the world right now.
If they finally reveal the capacity of the J20, that means their 6th gen induction is imminent.
Too bad we have to wait another 15 years to learn about its specs.

woah, generational news there, very implessive.
>the PLA must be the most low profile military in the world right now
that would be the US, since they don't intentionally fly their prototypes around at low altitude and low speed over highly populated areas to "leak" them for propaganda value, the US is a little too confident in their secret projects to do stuff like that.
>that means their 6th gen induction is imminent
they don't have any of those, and the J-20 is barely a 5th gen as it is, so no lol.

Why would China be designing new aircraft to replace the J-20 if it was as good as they claim it is?

I strongly doubt any chinese news regarding their advancement reflects reality. Some of their planes probably aren't even real.
They lie as much as americans, but while americans lie to pretend to be weak, the chinese lie to pretend to be strong.
They may, in fact, be lying at the behest of their american "enemies", to americans, to encourage the populace to remain fearful!
And sometimes they just waste enormous amounts of effort and build unsafe roads to be "implessive"
>China: WE CUT THROO HIRRS, CHINA ADVANCES FOR ITS PEOPRE!
>The west: We build around hills because it's safer and more efficient. Enjoy your avalanche, also, RIP your environment.

If chinese shills say their shit is amazing I just think back to all the times we were told russia had one of the best militaries on earth. If chinese shills say their average IQ is over 100, I remember lynn's data comes almost entirely from jintan and IQ studies monitoring random provinces for nutritional deficits and toxic load show average IQs in the 80s and 90s depending on income level. Last time the sources to these got posted the china shill thread got deleted exactly one minute later.

looking at that graph, you now learn the lesson why the US cannot print unlimited money despite being the reserve currency. There are more money in China than the US and EU combined. The dollars will eventually find its way home and you will have no production for back it up.
Trump tariffs are just a desperate move to generate money/tax while not printing it. Or do you really think other countries pay for it? kek

money is literally fake and has been fake since the 70s. even gold isn't actually valuable. anyone who believes otherwise is falling for a grand ruse.

the only thing on earth with unquestionable value is a life. your life, your wifes life, your kids life, the lives of all your people. the rest is an arbitrary game.

money is just a distraction for the proles to keep them ignorant of the reality that the only things underpinning a nation are its military and its domestic resources, and how capable it is of surviving off them if it undergoes emergency nationalization.

>the US is a little too confident in their secret projects to do stuff like that.
more like they have the export market on lockdown - why make post-production ads when everyone is basically contractually obligated to buy it to begin with?
American ads are more or less focused on pre-production, specifically with the generation designations - you outline a set of arbitrary criteria, designate this as the necessity for air superiority in the upcoming combat space, then sell this idea in the form of investments and contracts from partners. Trying to argue other planes as "gen X' is kind of meaningless since American requirements are fundamentally constrained by geopolitical needs (specifically, power projection in the form of either being carrier capable or having long enough range to cover foreign airspace from FOBs, needing a minimum amount of payload to economically strike ground targets, and requiring pristine maintenance).
That this approach has led to air dominance/supremacy does not mean it always will. The F-22 was choking out pilots (who, in fighter pilot fashion, tried to tough it out while inside a fucking supercruise aircraft). F-35 integration was a nightmare and got caught in the initial Gen5 marketing exposing its raw number capabilities, and multiple flying airforce colonels from various nations had to go on a begging tour for lockmart. It was a genuine lowpoint in fighter adaptation.
Given that the F35 has lower survivability than the F22 and the chinese will be building every advantage they can along the coast before any confrontation in the strait, I don't envy planners who require air supremacy for successful operations in the area, before even considering that chinese missile and drone batteries might pose a volume problem for ships in the area even if their entire airforce was in a purely defensive role/taken out in a pre-emptive strike.

hypersonic is designated as speeds higher than mach5.
In practice, it's usually mach10+.
This is about 12000 kmph.
Meaning that if you have a base within 4000 km of the target (and believe me, the US has plenty of those for everyone they can ever hope to fight), any missile that can fly more than half an hour (taking acceleration into account) will make the target go boom.
So now you have 3 little dipshit boats (dipped, in shit), floating around the pacific, doing the same job that a missile silo does, at hundreds of times the cost (well, maybe not hundreds, the missiles themselves are expensive too), all while shitlickers like you brag about how this is going to enable another 200 years of american hegemony.
