No, the 320 isn't any of those things demonstrably.
On top of that due to the design flaw once a sig p320 is racked and loaded it can go off without any manipulation of the trigger.
Personally based on my experience I believe doing a function test or actually firing, dry firing the 320 has the potential to once the slide is dropped chambering a live round after said actions the safety may not be engaged. Creating the perfect storm for design flaw discharging. Like any striker pistol there is always the built in chance the trigger does not fully return even if it does reset. And in the sig this means the safety is not engaged.

Clear the weapon. Squeeze the trigger and do not let go. Pull back on the slide and release. Find the wall by letting the trigger go slowly until you hear the reset click. Do this a few times slowly. (Function test). Wiggle the slide after you have done this a few times. Try again. The safety resets farther down the trigger return and I believe this is the issue.

I would think that it would be fairly easy for investigators to find the truth of the "went off in the holster" thing. That would mean it tried to cycle in the holster, and released residue in the holster. It should either be jammed in there from failing to cycle or the inside of the holster should have powder residue near the barrel and ejection port. Any forensics lab should be able to figure it out very quickly.

Just tell MP's and officers to smash their P320's with a hammer including the faulty internals prone to unprovoked discharging and dump them into a big bin to be sent straight to the nearest steel factory to be recycled.

In the meanwhile make a super simple list of firearms that are approved of such as a G19 M&P and Hellcats if you insist on being a giant fucking queer.
Personally I'd rather just carry an extra mag and if I was in a situation were weight was a concern well Magpul and BCM plastic hand guards combined with a 12.5" barrels are fine when paired with a reasonably thick and comfortable sling.
All of that would be cheaper... But of course that would require our government to acknowledge that Sig is a fuckup which they aren't willing to do because Sig as of now still has deep pockets.
