Reminder that Iran placed down an order for 24 Su-35s in 2022. They started training their pilots in Spring 2022, having been promised a delivery date in mid-2023. By the time Israel starting bombing them in mid-2025, 2-4 jets had reportedly been delivered, probably as dedicated training platforms. Depending on the Russian MIC for your country's security is a real big brain move for sure.

That's because Iran is retarded. They really thought russians saw them as anything but a drone factory and a distracting/destabilizing agent. Russia is a hit or miss depending on which country we are talking about. This ain't a fighter bomber. flankers do maneuvers they're not going to just stick to a straight flight path with only the bottom of the fuselage visible. So it's painted blue throughout instead of bombers who only have it on the bottom

Algeria's military is massive and growing extremly fast, it's becoming a top 10 worldwide army very fast.

The US and Algeria have a cordial relationship as Algeria is part of the NATO Mediterranean Dialogue and other American-led cooperations, and Algeria value the US as a counter-weight to the Russian/Chinese/European influence.

One of best contributions of Malaysia's military efforts is to combine the best of the Soviets and the West. Malaysian equipment are well-known to be extensively upgraded with Western technology beyond the capabilities of simple 'Slavshit'. The biggest challenge is the difference in operational philosophy between Malaysia and Soviet Union. Malaysia tried to address these shortcoming with SU-30MKM which uses Soviet airframe & Western avionics. The flankers are better built, have extensive air to ground as well as air to air capability and compatible with RMAF's mostly-western equipments. Malaysian SU-30MKM are the only Sukhoi SU-30 series that capable of using Sidewinder, Paveway and JDAM. Currently RMAF is able do do SEAD with Su-30MKM + Kh-31P. SU-30MKM "Growlerski" is also the first ECM/EW Sukhoi platform designed and build outside Russia.A multi-role platform with SAP-518 ECM pod and mix of SAP-14 jamming pod is considered similar to the United States ALQ-99 jamming system installed on the EA-6B Prowler and EA-18G Growler. Funny thing is the Russian are following Malaysian example that successfully integrated Russian-Western technology into their SU-30MKM.

Gonna do the Malaysian move..Firstly announced and buying Russian Sukhoi and showing the sign the move from American sphere towards Russian. American military industrial complex will be scared shitless and lobbying the Congress to be allowed to sell some American fighters (Choices are F/A-18D or F variant) with cheaper price to attract the government back to American/NATO sphere of influence.

To be clear, Malaysia did this not because he is a genius but rather out of spite when the US Congress blocked Malaysia's request to buy the Hornet, & bought the Mig29 instead. Contrary to what people say, Malaysia bought russian and american aircraft out of necessity, not simply because of shit and giggles. For years malaysia had been denied access to more modern aircraft because the US is playing favorites with singapore, philippines and thailand. At one point they just said "fuck this" and went to the russian instead. America putting both Indonesia and Pakistan under military sanction really spooked Malaysian decisionmaker hence why they're willing to buy russian made equipment which is generally cheaper and russia is willing to accept almost anything as payment.

>Malaysia wanted more F/A-18
>Malaysia looking for second hand USN/USMC F/A-18
>Uncle Sam said no. Instead offered up F/A-18F
>Malaysia tempted to buy F/A-18F but didn't want to surrender their existing F/A-18D as part of buyback option
>Deal went dead
>Suddenly US came back and "hinted" that they may export F-35 for Malaysia if they could permanently stationed their F-15/F-16 in Malaysia because reasons.
>Malaysia said "take that F-35 of yours and shove it up your ass" subtly

Til now American suffering loses because Malaysian opened the market gate for Russian and European arms sales on SE Asia and destroying the American arms sales monopoly.
