No idea what you pay attention to or not, but he's the brother of Paul Harrell, a guntuber who was pretty much the best on the subject of practical applications.
One of the core tenets of his channel was to hope to give people decent advice which would prevent them from wasting money on things they didn't need or which were outright useless, or otherwise making bad mistakes in terms of weapons and ammunition.
He was extremely no-nonsense and actually tested out a lot of things practically (to a sometimes autistic end), filtered through his legitimate experiences as a hunter, target/sport shooter, veteran, and having killed someone in self-defense at two separate occasions.
He'd deliver this in a generally humble way, and with some dry wit and anecdotal examples which people found charming, answering viewer questions and trying out commonly repeated axioms/myths and what not, along with the occasional product review, which were generally very blunt and honest (ergo not always flattering).
Being that guntube to a very large part is a cesspit of dudebro retards and bullshitters who don't know shit and traffick in old wives tales, shills, and sometimes other experienced people but who weren't necessarily smart or/and honest, or just unserious schlock entertainers, Paul Harrell grew to be rather appreciated and liked.
Well, Paul got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and almost a year ago he finally passed away. Now his brother Roy has been trying to shoulder the channel, and uh, he's having fairly limited success.
He tries, he's been gradually improving, but Roy just isn't Paul, he doesn't have that same autistic dedication or specific dry wit, and sometimes he makes less than ideal choices.
