The solution is simple. Import hunters from east europe and balkans for a short term. They consider wild hogs a luxury to hunt and can prepare some real mean good food with them, which is preservable in canned form for years.

Do some states actually prohibit that? I helped some professionals set up their trap on a neighbor's property. They get the whole group in a big corral-type thing and drop the gate to close them in. When it comes to taste age and diet are the factors to look into. 50-60 lbs is usually the sweet spot for wild hogs. Bigger than that it can get nasty.
