They should put 2–3 vertical layers of Hesco barriers inside for extra thickness so you won't be able to make a go-through hole so easily.

Against an enemy without significant amounts of artillery and air power, yeah. Colonial war forts and (arguably) fortified forward operating bases are extensions of this into 20th and 21st century warfare.

Obviously the mistake of all these bunker complexes that are now hamas and Hezbollah tombs was that they didn't build them above ground.

Nah, if Hezbollah wanted to they could destroy these bases within a day or two. The real fortresses and mountain bunkers since Israel is totally incapable of stopping Hezbollah, Houthis, or the Iranians. These are propaganda pieces for retarded Israelis and to humiliate and delegitimize the Lebanese government. Now shoo shoo back to your /pol/ gore threads.

It's ok. Slowburn, not so much action and more focus on the tension and psychology of being hunkered down in a static fixed position against an enemy you never see. A bit like Restrepo or Armadillo in this regard, but less impactful since its semi-fictional (based on experiences that happened to people other than the author). Also similar thematically to other Pissraeli warslop kino of the same period like Lebanon and Waltz with Bashir (boohoo war bad, the ones suffering the most are us chosen people and sometimes the ayyyrab civilians we are committing war crimes on/warching commit against each other)

Its really not hard to figure out what they're doing there. its putting out military bait close to the border to shift the fire away from the civilians.

Since the cease fire began 8+ months ago there have been
>220 Hezbollah operatives killed
>0 Israelis killed
Clearly Israel will never be able to recover.
Anonymous No.64106718
I mean why not? Hardened defensive positions with walls that give shooters an elevated platform are generally pretty good for protecting and repelling against standard infantry. The issue is that if any serious amount of ordinance is lobbed at it then it’s pretty cost inefficient. Hesco fobs are the new meta for a reason but when I was on Bagram we had big ass concrete walls.

Moderate artillery damage on the walls, roof and towers, but the inside were like before.
If your enemy doesn't have something big or proper air support you will be fine.

In WW1 some Napoleonic era forts got occupied and reinforced and lasted a while.

hezbollah was confident enough to launch unprovoked attacks on Israel for the sake of gaza on October 8th 2023, dragging Lebanon into a new war regardless of the will of the Lebanese people. What changed? Why aren't they so eager to start a new war over such flagrant violations and bullying by Israel?

Before he got turned into a pile of paste Nasrallah said that to accept a ceasefire without there also being a ceasefire would mean defeat for Hezbollah. Why did Hezbollah agree to a ceasefire without one in gaza? Why don't they defend themselves when Israel attacks them almost daily?
