Why wasn't Cambodia able to shoot down any Thai Gripens?
Ditto any of their F-16s. Could their state-of-the-art Chinese SAMs really not lock onto a single target??

Cambodians aren't feral monsters who would intentionally shoot down a Gripen

>Cambodians aren't feral monsters
Patently false.
>for the longest time refuse to even retrieve the corpses of their fallen littering the battlefield along the border
>because doing so would be admitting to the Thais (and the world) that Cambodia actually lost a fuck ton of men
>still insist they suffered less than 10 KIA
>even when their own funeral videos show rows upon rows of caskets (that the regime soon had taken down)

>why couldn't a country that's still recovering from the one of the worst cases of national brain drain (self inflicted brain drain as in smarty smarty pants had their skulls bashed into rocks InnaRiceFields) so bad that makes it makes Albania and Bangladesh look good by comparison able to shoot down an aircraft made in the Western world by a competent company and flown by competent enough pilots?
Dunno OP, that's a real mystery.

Considering the state of the regime, they're likely all deployed around Phnom Penh too. Strategic defenses against say, a helicopter coup rather than tactical assets.

Over twenty liberal western journalists who went there to interview+report on their brave socialist comrades resisting imperialism during the Vietnam War were executed and/or are still missing. Even Hamas understands that those fools are far more useful alive.

With its recent victory over virtually defenseless Cambodian retards, Thailand has established itself as the most powerful country in the Indo-Pacific region, possibly even stronger than India which failed to achieve a similarly decisive result against Pakistan. Far from being a puppet of China like Cambodia, Thailand showed its independence by defying both Beijing and the US and EU, which did not regard the Thais as acting legitimately due to the ICJ having ruled in favor of Cambodia.

Thailand .... can now be considered one of the rising incipient superpowers of the 21st century, alongside Poland, South Korea and Türkiye.

They do have HQ-12's, but they'd have a hard time dealing with a Gripen as well.

Looking forward to it desu, this war has united Thailand's political rivalries to levels that haven't been seen in decades and it's a chance to wipe out the scam centers and human trafficking going on over there for good.

I still can't believe most countries supported Kampuchea during the Vietnamese invasion. They should've been cheering Vietnam onwards, if they had an ounce of integrity.

>I still can't believe most countries supported Kampuchea during the Vietnamese invasion. They should've been cheering Vietnam onwards, if they had an ounce of integrity.
The US was trying to butter up China at the time thinking they'd swing the other way and become a de-facto American ally against Russia only for the Soviet Union to be revealed as not being nearly as strong as people through and eventually crumbling apart as a result of the combination of Latvians joining hands and singing and Romanians Goatsing their own flag and then making a hobby out of chucking molotov cocktails at commies which then made the whole China alliance redundant. Also it backfired spectacularly on us (Like all America's foriegn policies do) because now we have to re industrialize to compensate for all the industry China swallowed up in case Xi one day decides to not simply sabre rattle and actually full scale invade Taiwan proper. The funny thing is we've been gradually increasing trade with Vietnam as an alternative for this very reason.

Vietnam did literally nothing wrong.

It's beautiful to see Vietnam grow at a 7%+ rate for the past decade and also spend 2% of their GDP on military. If the tariffs hold and the US reaches something like 50% of their exports they sure as hell are gonna help Taiwan along with the Filipinos if Xi gets to reunifying
Anonymous No.64117756 [Report] >>64118156

>reunifying
Barely anyone in Taiwan or the smaller satellite islands wants that, every election cycle they explicitly vote against reunification. The CCP's only option is brute force or just letting them be independent and unfortunately they seem to be pivoting towards invasion.

Cambodia is a country that couldn't even maintain their fleet of Mig-21s and L39s in flying condition. For reference countries that maintain or maintained flying slavshit:

>Afghanistan had at least a few warlord operated Mig-21s, L39s and Su-7s still in flying condition in 2002 after 10 years of civil war, the Taliban taking over and the US bombing the shit out of the country.
>South Sudan the literal poorest country on earth still operates 2 L39Cs
>Central African Republic also one of the top 5 poorest on earth operates a squadron of L39s
>Eritrea major league shithole, dictatorship and key Russian ally operates 2 Su-27s for propaganda
>Mozambique also perpetually bottom 5 in GDP has 8 Mig-21s
>Libya which is a failed state with 2 civil war factions operates an absolute shitload of fast jet aircraft.

Doesn't help they had a weak case.
>initial border clash where they lost literally one guy
>cambo pm leaks call with Thai pm where she was being excessively accommodating (just to humiliate her and sow internal divisions)
>GRAD strike on Thai civies
>get asses thoroughly handed to them in the retaliation
>refuse to acknowledge any military casualties
>civilian casualties also low because Thais practiced precision bombing and kept their targets strictly military
>newly laid cambo mines violating Ottawa convention still maiming Thai patrols
Any way they try to spin it, they just look like stupid, belligerent assholes. Their only fallback is an ICJ ruling in their favor based in French maps that France itself admits it drew in bad faith. Phnom Penh ignores international courts on literally everything else.
