>The first Medal awarded to a .45 ACP man went to 1st/Lt. William B. Turner of the 27th Division’s 105th Regiment. In a night action on Sept. 27, 1918, Turner rushed a German machine gun, which opened fire on his group, and he killed the crew with his pistol. Then he pressed forward to another machine gun post 25 yards away and killed one gunner before the rest of his detachment arrived to put the gun out of action. Turner continued leading his men over three lines of hostile trenches, cleaning up each one in turn. Despite repeated wounds, he pressed the attack, and after his .45 ammunition was exhausted, he picked up a rifle and bayoneted several enemies in hand-to-hand encounters. He then organized a counterattack until he was finally surrounded and killed.

No.64113100
>>64113065
>The Army’s 27th Division, stalled in its advance on Saipan, met determined Japanese defenses in depth. Private Thomas A. Baker of the same regiment as Lt. Turner in 1918 had received a Medal nomination for his courage and initiative in reducing enemy bunkers during June. By July 7 he was a sergeant manning a perimeter attacked by thousands of Japanese from three sides. Though wounded, Baker remained on the line, fired his rifle empty, and then used it as a club. Baker declined the chance to be evacuated in the forced withdrawal, saying he did not want to slow his men’s progress. He asked to be left with the last ammunition available—an M1911 containing eight rounds.
>The citation said, “When last seen alive, Sgt. Baker was propped against a tree, pistol in hand, calmly facing the foe. Later Sgt. Baker’s body was found in the same position, gun empty, with eight Japanese lying dead before him.”

What I mean by MR11 clone is something that clamps to the front of trigger guard. The MR-11 used two screws, some of the copy cats only one. Some of them are plastic and fail while I think there is a good aluminum one out there. They’ll probably mar the finish of the dust cover and trigger guard

Business Venture: integrally-suppressed 9mm bondburger-style bullpup with a double-locked 4" rotating barrel, with suppressor attached at the closest point on the barrel and reversed baffles behind the end of the barrel to shunt gas backwards. YES it will all be proprietary to make sure it all works, and YES the bolt will be bulkier than most slides, but it will revolutionize concealed carry.

Yes, in the sense I'm trying to cram a 4" 9mm in the smallest possible package that stays below 140dB. Some of it is harmonious (integral supression is the best solution to loosening silencers on rotating barrels), but some is just to make the final package as short as possible. An acknowledged drawback is that the barrel will get F I L T H Y, but this isn't intended to be something you carry dirty. The bulk of the bolt will be less dramatic as the design requires a circular silencer. It would still be smaller than the Maxim 9, and better in every meaningful way.

back again with the nocturne
another 125 through the gun, and I'm coming to the conclusion that the gun doesn't like 115 grain
same thing: failure to feed the second to last round of the magazine, only that round, and only the 115 grain
it's prefectly fine with 124 grain
and I even shot a box of 135 grain +p critical duty today with zero malfunctions
need to invest in more 124 fmj

>how similar the Glock 19 and 92FS are in dimensions
I'm just gonna say this outright: it's crap. I have a 92X and a G3 G19. The 92 is about 7/8" of an inch longer, more importantly, 3/8" of an inch taller, and most importantly 1/4" wider. Width and height are what make a gun harder to conceal, barrel length doesn't matter as much, but a G19 and Beretta 92 are not similar in size, a G17 and a 92 are.

First of all not an argument, but let's pretend it is. And let's pretend I own no guns. Let's ignore the fact that I constantly see nogunz group better than hasguns. About the fully assembled weapons, it would be awesome if anons posted gunsmith pics. Instead, thanks to the likes of you, we all see gunposting as merely a way to prove your authority. This is flawed, because the person with the most guns is not necessarily the best authority. I refer you to Dale, the president of the gun club in KOTH, who had an ND. Dale is president because he has the most guns, even though he's a complete retard. In the hullabaloo of this conflict, gunposting becomes merely a way to prove your authority, and nothing more. Thus, on an anonymous imageboard, it is, in the best case scenario, pointless. In the worst case, a way to remove truth from discussions. Once again, only a retard would ever post one firearm here.

I only have the older subcompact version the S9A1. I love it as a carry pistol. Its a hair bigger then a G26, enough to get all your fingers on. Recoil is surprisingly light but that's probably more to do with the thing weighing as much as a steal frame despite being made of polymer. I personally love the sights but my buddy hates it. Good luck finding a holster for any model however as the one place I know that made holsters for them, black rhino concealment, went under a couple months ago.

I have an m9-a2. I would say they're better, if only marginally, than glocks when it comes to ergos. Obviously, the steyr pistols don't have the track record of glocks. so there really isn't any way of knowing how close they come to reliability or durability. but if I had to guess, they are probably 80-90% on par with glock. At least I believe the latest gens are. Though, the after market support is quite lacking for steyr, and you're going to have get the slide cut if you want to mount a red dot. Trapezoid sights are neat too.
Basically, it's the other Austrian striker fired pistol.

The most pertinent would be the trigger return spring which if you dry fire a lot or shoot the gun ever you can end up with a snapped trigger return spring which is catastrophic for a self defense pistol.

that was poor QC in early striker pins. Sig also beveled them to prevent primer drag.

is that a common occurrence?

If it’s multiple mags clean it and check if the mag release is wonky.

Any opinions on the Springfield Armory MIL-SPEC 1911? I want a 1911 in the old GI style, preferably forged parts and made in the US, but I’m open to alternatives if they’re actually good.

With an FCI, better grip angle, versatile optics mounting at a lower price point. You're not wrong, it would be interesting to see what a new gen SR9 would look like, but the RXM is still a good product.

The Remington-Turnbull repros are pretty accurate, but tend to run around $2K now. Turnbull and Cylinder & Slide have both done small runs of repro pre-A1s, but they're even more expensive than the Remingtons. Colt has done various repros of the so-called "Brush Blue" and "Black Army" periods of WW1 production, but Colt gonna Colt and they cheaped out so the text of the markings look odd compared to an original. Maybe $1-2K for those. Cimarron offered

I'd consider a regular SP01 for <700$ then up to the SP01 Shadow when ya feel like it. Not only would it be a nice collection but with how well you get with the regular SP01 you could ponder what the Shadow could do to make you even better.
