Ever since I was a teenager I wanted a PSG-1 style grip.
It's not a rational desire, it's just cool.

personally i hate that grip angle and dont understand the autistic fixation around it

I wonder if the original grip angle of 30-something degrees wasn’t chosen so as not to deviate too far from the extreme grip angles of the non-pistol-grip rifles that preceded the m16 because everybody was so used to those grips.

Because if you were starting from scratch, trying to figure out what the optimal grip angle is for your new rifle, I think you’d arrive at 0 degrees or close to it. a vertical grip that minimizes the degree of wrist contortion without slanting the grip backwards. In fact I think if stoner had designed the grip screw to be fastened vertically instead of at an angle, we’d see 0 degree grips on today’s rifles.

Anyway, I don’t need more, I need less (grip angle)
