>Definitely not the new record IMO
We've been spoiled by the amount of quality combat footage we get lately. If a longest sniper shot requires public HD video proof of the target's head exploding then we should go through the Wikipedia list of longest sniper shots and scrub 95% of them.
Most events like this in history are believed besides people there said it happened and their military awarded a medal and it was written down in a report.
This shit quality video is more than we would have expected to get from a reported sniper kill before we started binge watching 1080p drone videos. But even with a relatively good video you can sit here asking
>>64128571 how do we know this was filmed 3800m and not half that and slowed down, or the entire thing could be a LARP with some guys told to fall down, there's not enough for a geolocation or anything.
I'd honestly have more confidence having an opinion based on the translation of a Telegram post where they tell the story, or 'behind the scenes' footage of them setting up and comments from other Ukrainian operators who worked with the sniper, than I would from contextless grainy kilometers away footage of a shot.
