why do bongaloids and other yuropoors care a lot about follow up shots while hunting (I see yuro channels go on and on about muh straight pull because it's faster) where as the American market really doesn't give a shit about follow up shots as shown by the fact pump action and semi auto hunting arms really never managed to take off enough to beat out single shots, lever actions and bolt actions.

Most hunting in Europe takes place in dense forest and against game driven by dogs. That means short time windows to make rapid shots and running animals.
Shooting multiple animals in this scenario is also common, especially while hunting boar.

Very different conditions compared to the average Burgerstani hunting situation which is just waiting in a deer blind/stand for days and shooting at a leisurely strolling deer.
Hunting in wide open plains is also generally not a thing in Europe, so flat shooting medium-bore magnum rounds like .300WM and .270 are uncommon while larger bore round with big heavy slugs (various 9.3mm rounds) are often preferred.

Because we're better shooters.

This is true on the east coast but not in Western states. And yet western hunters generally don't bother with semi autos either.

The answer IMO is Euroids can't shoot.

Because Americans don't care about animal suffering.

The vast majority of non-avian hunting is done with either bolt actions or with pump shotguns with slugs depending on the animal, terrain and circumstances. Straight pulls are rare, expensive as fuck (minus maybe the new Beretta BXR1) and are way more popular on YT for the niche/cool factor than in the real world.

Just say you don't know anything about hunting in the US and instead explain your regions hunting culture. Now nobody is going to take you seriously, nor should they.

I don't know how it is in the rest of europe, but german hunters are required by law to track and kill any wounded animal to ensure it does not suffer longer than necessary. We were explicitly taught not to aim for the brain, because a small error or movement of the head can cause a shot into the mouth, which makes it unable to feed but still mobile and capable of escape, leading to a long and slow death by starvation.

nah, the issue is most bongaloids are shit shots, as seen by that one bong shooting like a 12 inch group at 25 yards so they need a fast follow up shot to try to hit the durr

All the driven boar hunts I've seen involve yuros sitting in little blinds waiting for the dogs to bring the game to them.

>why do bongaloids and other yuropoors care a lot about follow up shots while hunting
Because most of the large game hunts are driven hunts, and because gun laws in many of EU countries have severe restrictions on the semiauto magazine capacity.
For comparison, in Russia civilian firearms have softer general magazine capacity regulation (no more than 10 rounds on the hunt, and as big as you want on the range), and the most popular driven hunt guns are either semiauto shotguns or semiauto rifles in .308.

Not him but deer blinds/treestands are really mostly an Eastern US thing where there really aren't a ton of wide open plains. And yeah, it's mostly sitting in a tree ripping cigs and waiting for does to wander by in denser forests. Generally here in the Eastern US most hunters will never take a shot on game beyond 100yd. Western US is where you get the wide-open plains and long range shots.
Side note, I've been on plenty of guided pheasant hunts with dogs and they're tons of fun. I would absolutely love to go on a European Hog drive hunt

Not sure why that anon even suggested brain shots, hunters in the US are taught to go for heart specifically as well.
I've never once tried for a headshot on any animal.
The only time I would even consider this would be if a bear was charging me or something.

This. I never enjoyed hunting on the east coast for that reason until I went down south to Georgia where you could actively hunt hogs.
Kansas had great bird hunting, Colorado elk. The biggest pain is carrying the elk once you've bagged it.
I did a pheasant hunt both wild in Colorado and on a reserve in Virginia- and honestly Virginia I had more fun. The birds were bigger so better meal and sure it wasn't as "sporting" but it was a good way to hang out with a bro you haven't seen in a long time. Wild pheasant just takes forever to find and at elevation it doesn't matter your fitness level, it just sucks the fun out. At least when your scrambling the mountains for elk the meal is worth it.
