Before being low in armour and shells they had 100-300 casualties per day with near parity against Ukraine despite the chaotic combat of the early war, and it gradually increased to 1000-1500 after the war devolved into a positional war with a kill zone absurdly wide.
Without all that stockpile this war would had ended during late 2022 mid 2023 after Russia losses most its military personnel and the 'conscription' (pick up speed by mid 2023) wasn't enough to maintain the invasion.

Well this aren't soviet era tanks that have been rusting away for the last 30 years. Modern sensors and electronics are massive force multipliers. Also, China has been focusing heavily on SHORAD for years now, due to the drone threat, so that alone will help greatly. I think that China giving a few thousand surplus tanks, APC and IFV will help Russia greatly, turning the tide of the war.

If Beijing goes all out and actually gives other weapons systems in large amount, like fighters or missiles, it could give Russia a chance to actually win the war for good.
