Why would "unmanned" shit have windows?
Is it so it's not immediately obvious from a distance that it's unmanned?

I'm not a boat expert by any means but I'd be surprised if they actually designed it from scratch for the purpose of being an unmanned boat instead of retrofitting an existing design.

What is really the point of those ships? When you look at Taiwan, you notice that almost all big cities are on the west coast and there are plenty of harbors. If you take them, then you get a place where you can easily offload your troops.

That's the theory. This kind of ships can only be used if you secure the beachhead, but even then, they're still vulnerable to literally anything and Taiwan is not a big island so artillery could easily destroy them. Maybe even FPV drones could do some damage.

They're not intended to be used when Taiwan can still put up a fight, and mass fires, the PLA would spend at least a month getting air supremacy, and hitting everything of value on Taiwan.

Are you retarded? The ship doesn't maintain itself. When it returns to port, people need to get on and manage it, maintain it. So you need windows so people when they're on the boat they can see out and people can see them. Same with life preservers. It's for maintenance crew.

So its a decoy boat or something? Unless its spoofing everything I feel like America can tell the difference between a decoy and real naval asset in the era of electronic warfare. The quiet boats are going to be ignored.
Anonymous No.64138005 [Report]

It's not a decoy, it's unmanned. I'm assuming their manned ones look very similar, including command and control ones in the local area in charge of them. All it does is obfuscate the local capability and amount of value assigned to targets.
Kind of like how our MLRS units always show "six" in the rack when it could be one big missile. It costs nothing to hide what the actual payload is.

Ports are predictable landing areas and usually well fortified as a result. Expanding your capability to land and maintain supply anywhere forces, even if just theoretically, the enemy to now worry, plan contigencies and be forced to fortify areas that are otherwise not suitable for major landing operation.

The end result is that your enemy now has to spread his resources over a wider area which makes him overall weaker at any single point.

I mean he essentially has. Has he put any sanctions which he said about half a dozen times he'd put on Putin if he didn't stop? No? Did he send any major weapon supplies or aid to Ukraine? No? Did he offer Alaskan resources to Putin to stop? Yes. Did he offer to remove sanctions from Russia to stop? Yes. Did he demand hundreds of billions of dollars from Ukraine (thus crippling them for the next 30~ years)? Yes.

Huh. But I guess since he literally hasn't signed a bit of paper handing Ukraine over he hasn't actually done that. Right. Guess it's a bit hard to do that when you've got a cock so far down your throat it's tickling your stomach lining.
