Bersa is g2g. They also make 1911s in the US now which most people don't know.

It's meh. Go shoot it. Straight blowback 380s aren't as popular as they used to be because a locked breech 9mm of the same size is easier to shoot, and one of those in 380 is about as easy as it gets. It's not too terrible, but you'll probably lose interest after a few boxes of ammunition.

That's assuming it works. Bersa Thunders have really hit or miss quality, with some being totally reliable and others inexplicably worthless. They seem to have absolutely no QC at the factory at all, just pure luck of the draw.

underrated, for me its got great real world off-hand accuracy.

BTW, my theory is its all about how a particular gun works with YOUR hand bone structure, so YMMV.

LARP as James Bond (or Nazi officer) with your Poor Man's PPK.

I'm go against grain and say the lock with key is a good feature, depending. Leave the gun in desk drawer with key hidden near by, like tapped to underside of other drawer.

you got 3 diff clips. normal, extended and normal without pinky support tab (for original PPK look)

I had one but had to sell when I was Starving Student and they were no longer sold in CA. Guy was a gun expert (more or less) and buying it for his wife. I fig thats as good endorsement as any.

Bought another when CA allowed again.

it's ok, was my carry for a while until 30supercarry came along and made it obsolete. I went from an extended mag of 9 rounds to regular 16 with increased performance. Came with rear glowing night sights too.

OP here, I’m a girl (male) in case it matters, I’ve been taking blockers so I’m a bit worried about the recoil.

Not sure about 380, but isn't aluminum generally loaded light?

Oh, good luck using any hollowpoint ammo that isn't rounded. It hates trapezoidal or pointier ammo. Just use ball ammo, it's. 380 anyway.

If you actually owned this you would take a picture of it and post it, but in fact you are brown and do not own any guns.
Good day.

Welcome to the hasguns. Also welcome to the Bersa family. It’s a great little piece. A fun pistol where the quality matches the price. It’s fun to shoot and looks cool. A great first time purchase.

Everyone needs a blowback .380 and you did good. Now get some snap caps to practice and shoot the piss out of it. Later you can fingerfuck some good 9mm handguns. Alternatively double down on .380 and get more straight blowback guns like picrel and have fun. Ignore everyone saying 380 is shit, it's more expensive and less powerful than 9mm but it still kills people and especially federal hydrashok deep fucks pretty hard for defense. In any case you got an gun, good job, get another one now jic your bersa is down

Avoid WWB. I had one blow up and obliterate my Bersa, at the time Bersa's warranty system was such a pain in the ass that I just opted to toss it. WWB locks up my 870 and is so often out of spec that it'll lock up my revolvers. My wonder 9s are the only things that will reliably eat WWB and even then once I'm through with what I already have I'm never buying any again.

Bersa thunder was also my first legitimate store handgun purchase.

I am so glad I fucking got rid of that piece of trash. I regret it to this day simply for the cringe of buying a .380 bersa thunder instead of just capitulating and buying something more reasonable like a G19.

Hope you have a more positive experience

They're mid, which is fine. My only gripe is .380 is somehow more expensive to shoot than 9mm

>380 is too spicy because blowback
I don’t know why people say this. I’ve shot tiny .380s and I’ve shot tiny 9mms and I’d rather shoot the .380 every time. .380 also has a lot of options with a steel or aluminum frames so the felt recoil will be even less.

Assuming they are both locked breech sure, but a locked breech 9mm is about the same or softer than a straight blowback 380.

That's a great little .380, idc what anyone says. One of the best pistol clone?s to come out of Brazil.
We rent one of these out at my range for people who might want to buy one, and it generally gets good remarks.

Bersa is Argentinian, not Brazilian.

I got one as my carry gun because my roommate is a legit schizo. He's a good dude but started having episodes about 5 years ago, so for his safety I make sure to lock it when I get home. It's a decent "safety" oriented firearm.

Is it the best gun ever? No. I have high-speed funz but they stay in the safe because again, schizo roommate. I only take those out to go to the range.

That said, it's pretty accurate for what it is and in a close encounter of the negro kind it will hit what you aim at.

Get a decent holster with ultituck (ulticlip) and you can carry no matter what you're wearing. I've carried my Bersa while jogging in gym shorts and ultituck holds REALLY well. No shifting, can still draw, and feels comfy enough that I almost forget I'm carrying. Ulticlip isn't that great for full-sized pistols but for subcompact/compact pistols, it's great.
