So this is better than a G19 in EVERY way right?
After watching several in-depth reviews I cannot identify any advantage the Glock 19 of any generation has over the Ruger RXM. The RXM is just as reliable, better ergonomics and trigger, uses the same magazines, excellent barrel and accuracy, better sights, now comes standard with a threaded barrel... did Glock just fucking die before our eyes?

There's some truth to that, but Glock magazines are basically the defacto N64 shooter "you found a magazine" magazine and Glocks also have measurably better mechanic accuracy than most of the competition. I've had 12 Glocks and the consistency and reliability cannot be improved on. The only other platform I've ever had any interest in is the Walther PDP because of the trigger. Every other striker fire is just a Glock clone but less accurate and without the torture test history. Sig fags are understanding right now why I've stuck with glock.

I can keep my shots inside a playing card at 25 yards freehand with a stock G19 and Blazer-tier ammo. That's my standard for a 9mm striker fired pistol. When most people say a handgun is "accurate" they mean they can hit a human silhouette target at 7 yards or something.

Sure but the post stated that (or at least strongly implied) Glocks are the *only* "accurate" striker fired handguns. Which is bullshit.
(also yes obviously, 'accuracy' of any modern handgun and implied comparisons therein is a subjective topic dependent upon myriad conditions and factors)

NTA but I think the Glock set the benchmark and clones can only at best meet it. User/brand preference is subjective and there's nothing wrong with a Glock clone unless it's a dagger, but saying anything is better than a Glock is disingenuous. A gun is supposed to make bullets come out reliably and accurately, Glock does this at a massive scale and any clone will never have had the decades of Glockness Glocks have.

You can argue they're soulless and boring but that's an opinion not relevant to the fact they're fucking everywhere and since everyone is copying them it must mean they are considered a standard. Brand wise I guess there are a lot of people who get tattoos and bumper stickers but they are compensating for the lack of interesting aspects about their life. Glock doesn't do gay sig things, their guns are affordable and available so whatever.

It's just an L with some serrations on it and grip textures that vary from pistol to pistol. There isn't much Ruger or any of these companies can really do but paint the grip a different color. You can't blame them. Pistols have been externally simplified to death

It's a fine gun, but I'm concerned about pmags being the OEM magazine for it. I understand that some RXMs will lock open on a Glock mag with rounds in it, but that's due to a different spec slide release, which goes to show it is not exactly a Glock clone. I don't believe they have the longevity and durability of a Glock mag but it also hasn't been field tested.

Thatโ€™s a special level of gun-store fantasy. The 9mm cartridge is literally the global standard
>glocks considered reliable
Glock pistols have a decades-long record of service across the globe, They have passed some of the harshest torture tests ever documented: firing after being frozen in blocks of ice, buried in mud, or run over by vehicles. In trials, Glocks have gone tens of thousands of rounds without a single malfunction. Even in the MHS program it was documented that it performed better that any other handgun in the trials. Bringing up some YouTube clip of a poorly maintained Glock might โ€˜jam on video,โ€™ the actual record speaks for itself: Glock has become the benchmark for combat-reliable sidearms for over 30 years. Dismissing it as unreliable is like dismissing the AK-47 as fragile

the whole reason for glock's standing as a company and their followers as completely brainwashed zombies slopping up any shit glock pushes onto them is the extreme upcharge and profit margin on the otherwise incredibly crude and basic handgun designed around being cheap which frees up funds for bribing and undercutting police contracts as well as shill campaigns.

all this falls flat once the lie has been exposed and nobody wants your glock branded plastic sights at $200 upcharge when they can get the same exact gun with substantial improvements pre-installed for way less.

i have a vp9, xd, and a g19, and the one i carry daily is the glock. i don't like the grip safety of the xd and while the vp9 has a better trigger, it was so expensive that i don't wanna lose it to some dumbass LEO if i have to use it. the glock is like a honda civic or a toyota camry. it'll do everything you need it to do reliably, and economically. it's not pretty, but it's good enough. and in the use cases i encounter, good enough is perfection.

Poking small holes in someone's lung tissue is not a good way to instantly incapacitate a human. Even a .45 caliber whole is very small, that's not even half an inch. Handgun design should focus more on giving the user the highest probability of landing a critical hit rather than terminal performance. That means high capacity, low-recoil, and good penetration. Terminal performance matters more in hunting, where your goal is to do as much damage in one shot as possible against a long-range target so that you can actually find the body in a reasonable time frame. 22LR would be a perfectly adequate defensive pistol cartridge if it fed reliably.

Probably the Glock 47 which just simplifies production strains and technically makes Glocks more modular. If you have a 19 then you can swap the slides and you've got 4 guns technically. We are on like gen 5.75 rn, I'm sure gen 6 will have an FCU if the patents are to be believed. That being said Glock may push that back if they start getting big contacts to replace the P320 which seems to be happening anyways since they've stopped selling COA models to civilians likely due to military/LEO demand
