Box a wrestler, wrestle a boxer. Outboxers without question are the counter to wrestlers. Punch him in the face, then fade away from the wrestlers attempt at grappling. Keep it up until he's unconscious or gives up.

You should never let it be a 1v1, and never not have a gun or knife especially if some homo gets you to the ground. Idk what this obsession of pretending to have honorable fisticuffs combat while someone punts your head and brains you in an unfair outnumbered fight

If you are already being grappled the extra reach of the Bowie knife isn't helpful
Karambit is going to be harder to disarm because of the finger loop and because they can't grab your wrist, in the classic blade down grip you can hook their wrist with the knife if they try
You also have a lot of control and leverage with the blade being closer to your wrist making it easier to use if it gets sandwiched between your bodies
Not that I'm a fan, this is just the one case where it's excels
A Bowie would be perfectly adequate

Maintain distance with your striking game. Muay Thai fighters do it best. Keep on spamming light jabs so they have something to think about and move into a good position for a roundhouse, teep their chest when straight ahead. Also more risky is to knee them if they try a takedown but if you don't connect with their face you're fucked.
