People are cheering on Russia to lose and to lose badly, but you don't understand that if Russia does indeed collapse or gets too badly mauled, China will snatch the remains of Russia faster than you can blink. Which will be a nightmare, chinese economy with Russian resources. So we have to ensure Russia never gets too pressured or close to collapsing outright. It's very important that Russia stays stable and in tip top shape to fend off any chinese invasion. In fact, if Russia really does come close to collapsing, western nations need to send aid to stabilize them. Putin's peace deal is in everyone's favor right now. Every day that the war drags on, Russia sinks further and further into China's clutches. A this rate, in a year they will be nothing but a chinese vassal state, assuming that they don't collapse. Trump understands this, which is why he's giving Putin an off ramp and a chance to end the war on Russia's terms.
