You are going to war, you can choose 5 ukr/rus mobiks who have been in the trenches storming and defending for 2 years, OR 5 US special forces guys? who do you choose.

What's my role? What am I expected to do? Who am I fighting? Where am I fighting? What gear do I get? What support do I have? What intel do I have? Who am I fighting for? Why are we fighting? 99% of the information needed to answer this question and you lapse it the fuck out
>oh uh you're going to war
Two people from two sides throwing rocks at each other is 'war' too dipshit. Think before you post.

When it comes to general experience, a regular soldier who already experienced peer to peer conflict is far more efficient than American SOF, who primarily acted as a deployable global SWAT team in the later years of the GWOT and now. 2 types of troops with different specialized experience, but itโ€™s better to choose someone who has more general experience than specialized one. I think Iโ€™d rather trust UA/RU SOF than American SOF when it comes to combat effectiveness in non insurgency operations. Donโ€™t let the Gucci gear like Patagonia/cryes fool you.

Not only are the 5 US SFG guys going to have a lot more trigger time than the conscripts, but they're going to be better equipped and trained. This is a clear call and if you have to question your decision, you probably can't speak English.

>a lot more trigger time
Irrelevant, when it comes to general battlefield experience, they are no different than rangers/airborne. The 5 SOF, despite the good gear and gun, will still struggle in a peer environment. Experiences sometimes outweigh the โ€œtrainingโ€ or equipment unless those 5 SOF have the entire Air Force behind them.

You're leaving out the part where they're more like to die. Which means there is no experience.

If we assume the same support, I am absolutely, 100%, taking the soldiers who I assume are going to be the better combatants with better training, cohesion, motivation, and doctrine. Anon, even during the GWOT, SOF operators had the highest mortality rates. Both are more destined to die, but one has more relevant experience on how to survive and move forward towards the objective. Of course, it also depends on which environment it is. If itโ€™s close quarters, SOF takes the cake unless the Ukrainian/Russian soldiers have experiences in urban warfare in Donetsk or other cities.

That's why I pick American SOF. More Russians died in 1 year in Ukraine than 20 years of all US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Because Iraq/Afghanistan was barely a conventional conflict. Afghanistan was a conventional conflict for a few months until it was a full blown insurgency. Iraq was conventional for a month before it devolved into a 5 way conflict between conventional and unconventional forces. The U.S. barely took losses in Afghanistan because the conflict was vast and the immediate support and tech/training advantage made it easy to pick off insurgents. Iraq had higher numbers in a short amount of time due to urban conflicts.

They havenโ€™t been self funded for a decade. They are funded by the Ukrainian army along with having several revenue sources themselves. And a year ago the U.S. lifted the ban on them directly receiving aid/training from them(not sure why the ban was still in effect after the 2022 invasion though)

US SOF. Experience and training are 2 different things and the reality is that an inexperienced but extremely well trained team is usually better than a team of hardened veterans lacking discipline, tactics, and equipment. Mobiks AKA conscripts are poorly trained on both the Ukrainian and Russian side, so even if they've survived actual trench assaults, the fundamentals aren't going to be solid.
