Product placement deals do scale up with the number of viewers. To suggest otherwise is absurd. Someone with 10 million subscribers won't be paid the same in an ad deal as someone with 100k subscribers.
The reality is, though, these numbers aren't exact, someone with 100k subs would get deals like $500-$1000 per product placement ad, so they would be getting $500-$1000 at the contracted rate, the vast majority of time being per video with however many times they contracted for the ad to be featured in videos. So if the youtuber with 100k subs runs the ad 5 times, they'd be making $2500-$5000.
Now, this scales up with the number of subscribers. Someone with 10 million subscribers will be pulling $100,000 - $250,000 per product placement ad. Probably more in the middle like $150,000. But it depends as well what kind of ad it is. Some pay higher than others, and some play less.
Civ Div, if he were shilling gear every video would be making between $5,000-$15,000 per every product placement in his videos. Tat's just produce placement. Youtubers have other revenues than just that.
Then, take in account he could have been doing this for the last 5 years. He could have easily become a millionaire. Are you so short sighted that you believe the only way anyone can become a millionaire is over night? Someone making $10,000 a week would take around 4 years to become a millionaire to give a good estimate. I make this estimate after taxes and expenses.
