Not only did it take them a dog's life to release it after announcing it, they still have issues on gen 3 because it's such a fundamentally awful design. They make guns for people who shoot a handful of times a year and the destitute. Your average psa owner cannot qc their own gun and anyone who knows how is usually smart enough to have a job that allows them to afford better. They ship guns with no qc. Psa doesnt own a single set of torque wrenches, the gas blocks are often installed improperly, and the barrels often suffer from atrociously rapid throat erosion. The lowers are typically fine.

As for ops rifle, muzzle brakes are retarded and that rail is awful. You might as well use a plastic hand-guard. You cant mount a lam or coti on it so whats the point? I have no dog in this fight but for how much psa owners claim to shoot they are largely absent at the rifle range i rso at on the weekends for extra cash. They are never at the entry to rifle courses I teach. Even dying and dead companies like stag and dsa are more common to see. Maybe their guns are more common in the south but in the dakotas they are nowhere to be seen. I maybe see a psa rifle show up once a month out of hundreds of shooters

NTA but I've got 2 PSA rifles and they run just fine, bit overgassed but I consider that a good thing in a beater/loaner. Haven't fucked with them beyond initial inspection and new gas rings on one. They'll shoot around 2 MOA depending on ammo. They just work.

PSA is a customer service review scam operation. You can watch nerds scientifically exam PSA rifles. Some wear out uneven, and jam up after like 5000 rounds. Not sure how they function after a clean up. But there's a ton of videos i say again of nerds scraping the guns operational parts with their eyeballs using micro scopes and whatnot.

From what I can see the rifle will operate in a gun fight fine. And with some additional work it may operated on a higher level, but I don't know. Out the box it works for home use. For a full deployment this is where you'll see people get reasonably mad and decline it for another more expensive brand, one that does make sure everything fits correct, and is actually aligned.

You're saving you self a ":fuck ton" of trouble buy paying around double the price, and buying as you budget.

They're a perfect first gun to buy, and the kits are fun, all just for the price. Anything else, other than 556, cheap low end, I would not buy from PSA!

Alternatively, PSA gets screaming good bargain on other accessories. I saw a barret 50 cal sniper for 5000$. Thermal scope from trijicon for 4000$ that was like 12000. I've seen more than half off on legit actual none larp gear. It's good to be on their mailing list

Durability. Also PSAs schizophrenia with having milspec lowers and BCGs along with high shelfs and civ bolts at the same time. Makes it annoying to buy from them because you don't know for sure what receiver and bolt spec you're getting in their prebuilts and as a result you won't know what you can and can't install in it until you get it in your arms. Par ejemplo, I was sweating bullets over my PSA AR9 because I wanted it to be an FRT host but those only work with milspec geometry and PSAs site didn't indicate geometry anywhere. It is, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing the bore is much more rust resistant is worth it too.
