I was shooting slowfire so I was pretty loose
when I get more aggressive it doesn't flip and has decent return to zero.
I notice that I had slide peening at the end of the recoil spring tunnel but I didn't feel any abnormally high recoil. I did have a failure where the recoil spring went though the open end of the reverse plug since it's cut for a full length guide rod that I'm not using.

9mm ones can hold like 17 rounds in the same length, the standard size magazine is 17 rounds but with the new followers and mag body design people can fit up to 20 rounds
I’m just happy this thing feeds, and it seems to feed extremely reliably

Half an inch taller, a quarter inch thicker, shorter barrel. Again, the worst combination.
Beretta are retard-tier when it comes to their "compacts" and "subcompacts". A Beretta micro, based on the above info, would probably be taller and thicker than something like a p365 or hellcat, with a 2.5" barrel instead of a 3"

You can't carry your gun, so why buy an ugly double stack polymer defensive weapon? Since it's going to be a range toy, buy something that is a joy to shoot, like a 1911. 45ACP too expensive? They come in 9mm. Or something else with a great trigger, aesthetics, and grip, that isn't a 1911, if you don't like them.

In the US, the M&P is cheaper and the gun is a little better than a Glock imo. The recommendation for M&P is easy. For a $250 markup, the M&P isn't really that better over the Glock. I mean no striker is worth $1k but since you're stuck buying one or the other I'd get the cheaper one.
If you're limited on what parts you can get, can you get optics and optic plates for both guns? The M&P has cowitness steel sights so you won't need to replace those but you will on the Glock. So factor in that to the cost if that's a route you're planning on going.

True, but you also don't want them covering the window that much. Just peeking over the top is good for when the dot goes down (which should be almost never if you replace your batteries). He will probably want to replace the Glock sights (especially if he wants to run an optic) which is an added cost.

Tisas is one of the better ones, since they don't use any MIM, however their steel is softer but it's not like you're shooting gigga nigger loads with .45 ACP
I read on a forum that Springfield glues in the ejector and when it comes loose they actually pin it in place like every other manufacturer. Even on the TRP. I don't know if the TRP is fully machined or not, but it's at the price point where everything should be billet.
If you have TRP money you can probably score a used Dan Wesson .45. I've seen Wilson Combats sub 2k used.

This guy fell for the poor cops meme. They make money hand over fist and still trample on your rights. Name me another job where you can retire at 45 making 140k a year with your pension with only a 2 year degree. This scale is BEFORE their massive pay bump btw, current PA state trooper salary is $92k MINUMUM BEFORE OVERTIME after just 2 years. Starts at 71k.
Cops are responsible for 40% of most major cities budgets. Tired of paying for these fuckers salaries only for them to solve less than half of murder cases and hand out traffic tickets.

it's because squeezing a trigger is way easier than getting traditional handcuffs to stay oriented correctly while also holding down someone who is resisting
>have to hold one cuff and let the other fall downward to use the first cuff
>second one is now turned around/swinging back and forth/flopping around while you cuff Tyrone's first hand
>have to hold Tyrone's hands still while holding the first cuff, get the other one oriented correctly before deploying it
>MUST have them oriented right because otherwise you can't adjust cuff tightness correctly if you don't
>if you try adjusting them incorrectly, Tyrone can either pull away and start fighting you OR scream "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH OH GOD IT HURRRRRRRTS SO BAD OFFICER AIIIIEEEE AHHHHH AIIEEEEE" and get charges dropped because you did it wrong
Shooting is just easier. Even up close, all you have to do mechanically is point your gun and squeeze the trigger and the gun will still "work" correctly even if you miss

I've been carrying since I turned 21 and there are a few times I've let my gun at home when I was rushing out the door. I've never left it laying anywhere else but I know it would only be a matter of time.

Travis Haley clone, talking balaclava variant. Dude was an LE and decided to do youtube videos where he ran guns, made stupid jokes, and talked about guns. Took the balaclava off a couple years ago, I think.
I can't be assed to confirm, but I think this specific quote actually comes from a video on his third channel (Bureau Files) where he was reviewing the A24 film "warfare."

Pretty much. Or cooking the books. Oopsie in the sand, any number of things that require a guy who's moral compass doesn't pop up only when he is pissed off about his duty assignment like this guy. He is clearly a authority seeking hothead who is compensating for his weaknesses. Good luck to him passing the background check that can last over a year and will cover from his birth to every keystroke he has made since his state/federal cyber center popped up after 9/11. Yeah, because gun people are fucking retarded and abuse the shit out of their guns. The only hobbyist group that is more insufferable and fucktarded than "gun guys" is bikers. You can pick just about any gun and find a post about it exploding or breaking in about 2 minutes on google because some troglodyte ran the piss out of it with bubba loads, or shot their pistol with an +P round they had rechambered 50 times over the years and had retarded setback (I literally saw this exact thing happen to a gorgeous hi power at a range). Dude brought it in loaded and blew the thing to pieces with the first round he shot, the entire mag was full of rounds that had been set back from years of unloading the gun and chambering rounds.

It's generally reccomended not to get a tiny pistol as your first pistol as it is much harder to learn on smaller pistols. A compact sized (glock 19 as you put it) pistol is generally the best compromise of easy for beginners to carry and shoot. Caniks don't have a great rep, but are cheap. Other cheap alternatives are the Taurus g3c, the Berretta APX compact, the ruger RXM, and the IWI Masada. Of those options I like the IWI masada and the taurus g3c the best but you should either go to a rental range and try them or finger fuck em at a shop.

Mostly because they don't work well. At least you can get a brand new g3c for $180 online, and it will work reliably. This was one of 4 malfunctions I had in just 10 rounds with this canik.
>it would be silly to buy a g19 size then buy a carry or full size
Why? They fill different rolls and are each good for different things. It is much sillier to buy a tiny pistol as your first pistol as handguns are very difficult to learn to shoot compared to shotguns or rifles. Trust me, I bought a tiny S&W shield as my first handgun. Learn from my mistakes don't repeat them.

Old school subcompacts like the g26, g29, p2000sk, p30sk, px4 compact, are the best all around size for a gun and are easily controlled by novice shooters and more comfortable for experienced ones with minor mag baseplate mods. They are not skinny jeans and gay sportswear carries or pocket guns but I have no problem with shorts and a T shirt. The extra size actually helps keep guns that size from jabbing my legs vs micro 9s and the more rounded iff hks/berettas are comfier than glocks and glockoffs. If you’re fat your experience may differ. I have rock hard abs.

I shot one at the same rental range I shot the canik at and it was so good I just bought one for $193 on gun.deals.
From what I could tell online they launched with an issue where some of them had dead triggers every shot. Taurus RMAd all of them no questions asked and fixed the issue in current guns, but the rental range model I used did have this issue, which was ironic because the trigger was shockingly good despite being the failure point. I brought it back and told them and they just went "yeah we know. So you wana leave orrrr". Worst rental range I've ever been to. Actual gun owners would just send it back for quick service with a free shipping label. I don't hold recalls against companies if they handle them well and the issues at launch. I do care if they have known issues and never alter the design or fix them.

That's precisely why I've grown to love the finger groves and aggressive texture on my Glock brand Glockazine. They also serve as a hint to the particular way P80's are supposed to be gripped and stanced with. The trick is all in the wrist and thumbs!

I had trouble properly resetting the trigger when my hand tenses up, I couldn’t even shoot 5 rounds as fast as I could since my finger would not reset the trigger under recoil. so I compensate by coming completely off the trigger, I didn’t realize I was doing it without recording myself

Here's my setup. I build it as an XL for most of the year. It's a great compact size, and I like the manual safety.
For a small extra price, I build it as a macro for winter months. The macro is a bit too big for me to carry in the summer, but find with a jacket in winter ...plus it gets dark early and now I have a light.
IMO that's a great use-case.
I like the gun enough that I built out a second one with a comp and a dot which is ....okay I guess. I also just got the mystery machine aluminum macro grip, which is pretty awesome
Full disclosure: I haven't fired a hellcat but they have a loaner at my range so I'm gonna.

Is that the mischief machine grip? I tried finger fucking an icarus precision frame in a store over the weekend and regret to inform you they're tremendous and may actually be worth the money.
The hellcats are all fine, not really good not bad like some microcompacts. I found my accuracy didn't improve with the xl or xl comp version so if you do get the hellcat the standard microcompact is going to get you the same performance or near about in a smaller package and price tag.
Just a heads up, if you carry with a winter jacket please practice draws with it. I was VERY unnerved to find that my draw caught on my jacket basically every time with my regular draw and I had to modify the way I did it.

I had an idea where you can print 4 pieces of paper and paste two on top of each other in the beginning. Shoot the first stage, replace the front one, shoot the next, replace the front one, etc. where the rear target tracks all hits and the front one tracks each stage separately.
Sorry, I love metrics.

It grouped solidly 1 foot up and 6 inches to the left at 7-10 yards. Bent Moon clips would jam the gun
Recoil was extremely uncomfortable despite the steel “frame”, I think it may be because I was new to guns but I didn’t think the .44 magnum I bought was that bad (big rubber hogues though)
Listed it for 400 and it sold instantly and I feel bad for whoever bought it

Yes, love it, doesn't heat up as fast as they say. Langdon and they FUCKED it up.
Plate didn't even fit in the cut, they sent it to me half mounted. Sent it back, they returned it with so much durakote or whatever in the slide rails the fucking slide didn't fit on the frame rails anymore.
Fuck Langdon, they can't into HK
Have Wright Armory do it.
