Revolver recommendations?
Been looking for a 357 magnum revolver, at a decent price.

Considering the S&W model 19, but can only find listings on gunbroker sold by fudds for retarded prices.

honestly, get an old taurus. I've got a taurus 669 that's got a better trigger than my smiths. just make sure it's from when they used smith and wesson tooling, not their own stuff like 70's to mid 90's

ruger gp100. MSRP on their site is like $999-1129 but i normally get it lower at my LGS when i order it. i got the model 1771 for ~$850 and i really love shooting it.

I 2nd this. Finding a holster is the biggest problem. Their are a couple including shoulder holsters from galco, I think. Also speed bees and HKS loaders have 7 rd options. I have a 3 inch barrel model. It shoots way better than I can. Although I bought mine used for $700 plus tax. I also replaced the wood grips with pachys

you can find them every once in a while at shows for pretty cheap, the rich boomies want the whole pistol pack and don't want to pick up just one.

Ruger LCR/LCRx in 357 Magnum

S&W 627 R8 (8 shots of 357 Magnum)

One can be considered a pocket gun, the other, not so much.

A revolver thats fun and will outlive your grandkids? Gp100
Fun revolver for special boy points? Chiappa rhino 60DS
Rick grimes wannabe normie gun? Colt python
I own all 3, and a SW 686. Personal preferance makes me like the chiappa the most as its so much fun to shoot and love its look. But all of em are a pleasure to shoot. Modern smiths are kinda overprice worse rugers but if you can get an 1980s SW for a good price theyre golden.

Are Czech-made ALFAPROJ revolvers available in the US for a decent price?
These are about 800-1200 Burger-Bux™ in Euroland, depending on the exact model, and they're a solid choice for the money.
Fit&Finish quality is slightly better than S&W, and material quality is vastly superior, they aren't full of shitty MIM parts that'll wear out after a few thousand rounds.

I am partial to the new Colt Pythons, but they are probably a bit expensive for what you're asking. Occasionally there are pretty good deals on them (<=$1200), typically ones that are pre-owned or factory blems. Don't count it out - it's a great revolver and isn't always overpriced... just usually lol

i got a 6 inch stainless gp100 for fow fiddy 8 years ago
only reason it was so cheap was cause it came with nothing. no box, no manual, no original grips.
but it shoots great and the serial ends in the funny sex number, so im happy with it overall.
i think the 5 inch looks the best aestheically, but i wasnt gonna shell out close to double what i paid for a new 5 incher.
with the 6 inch full lug, even with full power magnum loads, theres hardly any muzzle flip, if any at all. all the recoil goes right into the palm of your hand, so if you dont like that, softer grips or a shorter barrel might be better.
was thinking of getting a blackhawk because the single action is calling to me, just debating wether or not to get the convertible one to shoot 9mm as a cheaper plinking round and saving the magnums for when i want a bigger kick.
