probably a mosin but heres another option

2BH the most likely option would be a PK or PKM machine gun. SVD or a Mosin is going to be relatively rare n Ethiopia compared to the PK.

Actually I've seen lots of PKs on military pick ups, and a lot of AKMs and similar on ordinary people, but I haven't noticed mosins. But yeah, the fact that I found a single bullet made me think of the mosin.

Ik other anons (and (you)) have said nugget, but can you post a side profile of the casing? Kinda reaching here but sometimes you can see scuff marks or burnt in patterns that indicate what mag or what gun specifically the round was chambered in.

The other numbers are going to be code for a factory or year of production. It isn't going to be relevant to finding out who shot your monkey unless they have the same exact ammunition in a box with one missing. Even so, if ammunition in that caliber from the same source is particularly abundant it could narrow things very little. Much the same as saying "the monkey was run over by a Toyota", where everyone drives a Toyota.
