Bersa Thunder 22
I am looking for a relatively cheap range toy in .22lr. I wanted to know if any of you have experience with these and how they stack up against similarly priced pistols. My plan is to use said handgun for target practice and probably will be firing it stock.

P.S: I was specifically comparing the Thunder 22 to the PPK/S and P22Q before making this thread.

Is there any reason you want this size specifically over a Ruger Mk?

Small hands (6.5-ish", which is 1" smaller than most guys), so I am interested in something a big more compact.

Open to the Ruger, though.

I own a ruger it's extremely thin, you just gotta avoid the 22/45
MKIV with factory grips is 1 3/8" x 1 3/4" and a circumference of 5"
It's mostly squareish
If you want to fold an old amazon box and see how that fits your hand

I mean, essential fundametals. I don't expect you to ht the target. When do I actually instruct you to bump fire.

If you get one make sure to pick up some red plastic grips with an eastern dragon motif (something to run your thumb over in your pocket)

I disagree. I think while objectively the Ruger is better made, the Bersa is far prettier. I'd personally spend the extra for the PPK/S because I have an irrational disdain for cheap 22LR handguns and just assume they will F2F routinely.

Dont worry, you will, eventually, grow up to appreciate the .22LR

The bersa has a cheap, cast metal slide, like a hi point. Not even Taurus does that. Get a used ruger mk IV. Other anon mentioned to avoid the 22/45, but i love mine.

I really want the Argie-pasta blaster. How are the triggers on them?

Ruger sr22 is honestly pretty good as well. They just work but the mk is easier to take apart, holds value, and is more accessible.
>>64175507
Sr22 has a smaller grip included in the box.

I got a nickel one because it looks cool, it was under $200 after a sale and gift card, and I didn't want a current PPK/S because I'm prejudiced against zinc and Umarex. It's much pickier with ammo than my Buckmark (most accurate), MK2, and TX22 (most reliable), and my dad's .22 Manurhin PP. Even Mini Mags aren't particularly reliable, maybe 70-90% depending though I haven't tried them in a while. If the chamber is clean then Stingers work for at least a couple magazines and give you a nice fireball but at some point (less than 100 rounds) they start to get stuck in the chamber after firing, maybe because of the longer case. The first 2 rounds of Aguila Super Extra I tried also got stuck in the chamber so I gave up on them; Interceptor had 1 malfunction in 30 rounds which isn't great but better than most of the others. Federal Automatch and Geco Semi-Auto cycled less than half the time. It comes with a lighter spring for slower ammo and I tried that with CCI Standard Velocity but that didn't work either.

But it's actually very reliable so far with Thunderbolts and Golden Bullets so I just use those :D. Also it seems to work better with grease on the rails instead of oil for whatever reason. I've only fired 600-700 rounds and the Remington was in the latter half so maybe they're just working better because it's broken in now.

The single action on the Bersa isn't as nice as the Manurhin but the double action on that PP is also a bit silly (significantly heavier than the DA on my 1895 Nagant). I've heard the current PPK/S has a similarly heavy DA trigger; on the Bersa it's fine. Accuracy also seems fine and actually better than the PP but I've also shot the Bersa more.
