Yes. Train hard, fight easy. The point of training is to prepare and inoculate you against potential outcomes, so theyre always worst case scenario. If exercises ended with zero casualties and left everyone feeling hecking cute and valid, then what happens when you lose the diceroll IRL and your CoC do get taken out?

Yes. Every single exercise they always throw you in the worst possible nightmare-mode scenerio they can possibly think of. It's intentional. That way, if it does happen for real, you already know what to expect. If anything easier happens, you already know how much worse it could have been.
