Every single one of those under $700 is either used or subject to bidding. Moreover HK's own stated MSRP is $949.

800 bucks is definitely on the upper end, but not really that outrageous a price.
Anonymous No.64219270 [Report] >>64227526
>>64219238
Given that's HK's msrp I'd shoot for around $650
for a P30L on the previously owned market, barely used to NIB condition
(another key skillset to shopping for used firearms: Always have a target price number for the specific gun you seek)

I wish I had an AR-18, the Daewoo is a bit different because it has a long stroke piston. I went to a local gun show, saw a mint condition AR-18 with an original scope and mount, the guy was asking 3,500 bucks for it. Too much for my blood.
Anonymous No.64252720 [Report] >>64254664
>>64252373
You mean an AR-180.

>3,500
>gun show
Yeah that is too much. Was it a Costa Mesa, or a Sterling?
the Sterlings can be found for around $500 less than a typical Costa Mesa.
rarest are the Howa Japan rifles (only around a thousand of these exist)
a Sterling should be able to be had for $1,200 or less. A decade ago you could still get Sterlings for under $1,000 but since that time, people have become more aware via internet of the AR-18 and ArmaLite lineage which has driven up values.
a Costa Mesa ought to be obtainable for around $1,500 or less.
Seek online auctions. Going in to a pawn shop or local gun stores with a pricetag slapped on for these rare rifles won't get anywhere, and gun shows are the worst place to purchase vintage mil semiauto cold war / WWII rifles, vastly overpriced
Anonymous No.64253968 [Report]
Anonymous No.64254664 [Report] >>64255289
>>64252720
I think it might have been a Howa but I can't right remember, and yeah, I'm nominally familiar with the pricing. I had the chance to sterling AR-180 in 2020 for 1,200, but passed because the barrel had been chopped to 16", and the guy was all the way out in El Paso, but mostly because I heard sterlings were kinda shitty.
Anonymous No.64255289 [Report]
>>64254664
(might've not been too bad a price, but yeah) Build quality, fit/finish is generally lower on the Sterlings hence the lower price.
