Full featured hammer fired 9mm?
Okay, so I am looking for a nicer more feature complete 9mm handgun to keep near my nightstand incase Jamal breaks in, but more importantly to be able to run tons of rounds through it for fun at the range with minimal issues.

I am coming from a Ruger P89 that has seen better days. I am considering an M9A4 since from the factory as it ticks all the boxes that me giggle like a retard that just discovered roblox;
Hammer Fired
Holds 15+ rounds
Under barrel rails
Threaded Barrel
Optics Ready

$1200 is a lot to dump on a handgun. Before I make this financially irresponsible decision I'd like to know if /k/ knows of any other handguns with the same feature set that are not dogshit?

I'm pretty sure a 92x has all of that minus the threaded barrel which is like 200. I think that would all be under 1000 and you'd have a spare barrel. Not sure if the barrel needs fitting or not though.

For what you are asking for, that’s a really good option. If the cz75 omega was still being produced I would have thrown that into the list. I’m personally married to the DWX. But 2011 hybrids arnt for everyone.

If you like Berettas get a Beretta. You'll probably shoot it at a testing range once and put it away forever. Most here will recommend a CZ75 variant or their EAA Witness clones. They're far more comfortable than a Beretta which are considered some of the most uncomfortable handguns. If you aren't set on steel frame there's the HK hammerfire handguns. FN also had the FNX which is a cheaper version of a USP with full ambi controls.

>$6,000

These would sell like hotcakes if they actually had a realistic price, they'd be the new meta. They could get government contracts if they got the price down to $600, still well over what they actually cost to make, and stopped with the meme aesthetics and made them look professional. Memes aside it's a great design.

Arex Rex Zero 1T. You can find them for $800 on gunbroker. Mine has been unfailingly reliable until I didn't clean the firing pin chamber after 3 years of shooting and I poured oil in it and it gunked up with all the carbon and made the spring slip over the firing pin. The DA trigger is bad but the single action is fine. Better QC than a modern Sig P226. Only valid complaint is that they are fucking wide. Significantly wider in the hand than the comparable sig (P226 and P229 vs Zero 1 and Zero 1C). I don't mind it because I've just gotten used to it, but that's the main complaint I hear. You can get the competition hammer spring, but I've been fine without. The trigger guard is also pretty large since it's intended for the Slovenian military to use with gloves. Also you need to make sure you get one with the second-gen grips, not the ones in this pic. I didn't realize how bad the grip scales like this were till I handled a buddy's, the 2nd gen ones are insanely better.

Make sure you try to get an Italian made one. The ones made in Tennessee are still a QC minefield no matter how much the US-made fanboys screech. If you can't get an Italian one look over for burrs and rough spots, my TN-made one had a burr where they drilled the front sight and gouged the outside of the barrel. Also try to feel up a 92x vs 92FS in person first. I got an 92x and I've grown to hate the vertec grip more despite giving it a chance, and the grip module that mimics the original backstrap does not live up to it's name, it just doesn't fit my hand as natually as an FS. YMMV though, like buying pants from a new brand, you gotta try it on first.

Seconding this if OP is interested in a polymer frame handgun. I like that the safety and decocker are separate mechanisms and allow you to carry cocked and locked. Also bonus points for being able to change both the backstrap and side grip panels.

The most NPC POS ever made. Slippery plastic grip and a mag release you can't reach without adjusting grip. At least the gen 4 and onward have a more grippy texture and you can actually reach the mag release. Time to let gen 3 die, the only reason they still make it is for Califags since they have to pay to put new guns on their state approved handgun roster.

Its not the worst but certainly no where near as good as its hyped up to be. My west german one was decent. I sold it to my brother. I missed that one so i bought a newer one, i had to swap the factory springs because they became too light in under 500 rounds. I broke an extractor around 1.5k rounds, fixed it, and then the replacement lasted about another 1k. I probably got a lemon or whatever but by that point i was like fuck sig even before the 320 shit happened. I still have an old weat german 220 that i like but my fucking tisas raider shoots better
