Incorrect. Modern 45 Colt brass is made to 44 Magnum standards (thickness etc) and can be loaded equally hot in (equally) modern guns.

45 Colt's marginally larger bore diameter of 5% will account for any marginal increase in pressure that 44 Magnum has.

Basically, in modern situations they are the same, except 45 Colt has a better bullet selection.

“Rowland” chambers are just .45 ACP barrels cut deeper, since Roland was a scam to make people send in barrels for work. .45 Super is same brass but just a hair shorter. Anyone can buy a .45 ACP threaded barrel and attach a comp to it and have the same thing as a Rowland kit.
