You’re in a desert walking along in the sand when all of the sudden you look down, and you see a tortoise, it’s crawling toward you. You reach down, you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help. But you’re not helping. Why is that?

It only matters how its spent. Feeding a soldier in China cost $3 per day. In the US, thats ~$10. Its not that food is 3X better in US v China for their soldiers. Its that labor cost in China is 1/3 of that of US. Supply chains cost lower. In the US, we spend $100K on a toilet bowl that goes for few low hundreds at home depot. $50K on a bolt that goes for $100 on hardware store. The money disappears into high paying union jobs, lining up the pockets of employees, supervisors, union boss, etc who make $1M a year. Vs Chinese boss who get paid $10K/y

No because they get artificially bloated by their nuclear programs. And since nukes are useless for anything but deterrent factor in geopolitics, those nations actually pay more for less. Nations like italy, turkey or greece have much more powerful forces than of france and UK because of it.

>How much more powerful is the USA than China?
Vastly as is the EU. They have contested elections and free press and real bugetary oversight. Everything you know about places like China and their military is simple propaganda covering up layers of nepotism, graft, incompetence and bluster. What the demcratic states have is the real deal not bullshit because you have hostile opposing parties and jounalists asking questions about spend and value. Graft and nepotism is second nature in single party states where the only jounalism is propaganda from the ones who got to the top of the dysfunctional ant hill. Not just that but they have an inherent distrust of all internal threats and often operate on the primaryily ensuring the military is in no position to depose them, complete with lack of decision making at operational levels and ring fencing suplies like ammunition and fuel so they can neuter coup attempts.

The same applies to their economics and central planning efforts. Russia and China are states that would boast about record harvests while they had famines raging. That culture is part of their current day economics and its a failure of post cold war jounalism and organisations like the IMF that the single party no press government suplied economic statistics ( with many of the underlying data censored or not available at all) are taken at face value at all

The USA would tear chang a gaping asshole within the first weeks of any contact. Their propaganda is for domestic consumption if they are not in some mythical exestenial struggle with foreigners then chang might ask why he has not been paid and has no way to go to court to get his money or why his granmothers patch of subsistence farm, was taken by property developers that are CCP officials children for free.Even the CCP has no faith in the CCP which is why they near universally send their children abroad to democratic nations as students but really to hide away some wealth in real nations

They donl't hold that much in US debt anymore they are deep into a financial crisis it's down to 700 billion and it's one of their best assets because the uSA is actually a solid bet and they know it.
https://ticdata.treasury.gov/resource-center/data-chart-center/tic/Documents/slt_table5.html

Note the extremely transparent US financial data scrutinised by opposition paries and jounalists. The UK and Japan each hold more US debt than China and they don't have a pretence of being rivals to the USA either.

Are you suggesting China should hold bonds in allies like Russia and North Korea instead. Good luck with that. That's the faith that the CCP actual has in them as well, none.

Yes the vast majority of people have nothing, no legal rights to even make employers pay them and no freedom of movement, no free speech and. Very equal, and the CCP are of course equal with themselves but some are more equal than others. Made this mistake

Are the US numbers real? Knowing that the Pentagon "lost"a couple trillion just before 9-11 (and probably more to this date), maybe a lot of extra money is in black projects.
