Open top revolvers. Percussion Colt's, Lefaucheux, early Gasser revolvers, etc. Revolvers without top straps just look better.

Wrong. The moon clip text in your pic is in a different font, It probably took a boomer 1000 hours in MS paint. S&W put a lot of work into making the 547 not use moon clips. HKS even makes a speedloader for it ffs.
