Of all the crimes Communism committed, the ones against the environment are by far the most egregious in terms of long-term consequences. And before any of you call me a degenerate tree-hugging hippie, let me explain.
From the draining of the Aral Sea to Chernobyl, Soviet rule left huge swathes of territory polluted wastelands that continue to negatively impact the the people living in them and will continue to do so for centuries to come. No on may be dying as a direct consequence of Nazism or Italian Fascism anymore but they STILL are of Communism, a full 30 years after the USSR's collapse.

>If Russia wasn't run by mafiosos and actually got their shit together they could have a renaissance of eastern expansion simply by pushing a narrative of being "The Wild West, but Modern", with incentives for foreigners to move to Russia and go start homesteading out in the uninhabited areas.
idk about you but I'm not keen on repeating things like retarded land speculation, obscene corruption, comically violent blood feuds, and general lawlessness
4-4-0 steam locomotives making a comeback would be nice though.
