That's just how modern AFVs look in their prototype phase before the production/service version is finalized, same goes for Western vehicles that don't look "complete" without stuff like storage racks or external attachment points and shit. The turd world style camo commonly used on chinkshit doesn't help though.

Some have been speculating that it's based on the Type 15 chassis but with more shit slapped onto it so if that's true that's not far off, and it's not like China hasn't done that kind of thing before. I'm not sure if I buy that theory, but it would explain the weight class and armament, which is certainly not on the level of a conventional MBT.
