Worst game in the franchise. Also anything from Ace Combat is basically fantasy, and rule of cool is its selling point. >>64231666
Just think of AH as a spinoff of Modern Warfare 2.
Ace Combat really is as sovlfvl as it is utterly retarded. desu I greatly appreciate the accidental life lesson of 'without enough nukes to keep the peace, the world will tear itself apart every handful of years in an orgy of blood.' Sure, it's literally the exact opposite of what nips want everyone to believe, but with how many peer wars that planet has how can you take anything else out of it?
Very realistic. This is in fact a copy of the Waterway Beatdown of 1993 between the Dukes of Luxemberg coalition and the Bisdom of Knokke-Antwerp. That one happened on a river though, not open sea

Locking IR missiles onto other missiles is highly unlikely under conditions like that. I wouldn't quite say impossible but nobody sane would try an attack like that unless the enemy had old Soviet shit that can't hit targets at low altitudes.

The game is future warfare stuff, so it's all based on nextgen stuff and everything has a datalink with each other. Basically everything in that game functions as both regular AA and it's own form of point defense to varying degrees of success.

Not...yet. I mean, there's no physical reason you can't use missiles to shoot down missiles but we don't have that system mounted on a plane. Maybe we could repurpose APKWS rockets and use laser guidance.

Maybe? Nice big IR signature against the sea and I don't see too much of the sun reflecting >Off boresight shot
Really costly interception but possibly?
