Looks like Bayraktar footage is back on the menu, boys.
Allegedly Ukraine has cleared the air defense sufficiently from Crimea to allow the little turkish drone that could back in the air. Almost certainly not over the entire peninsula, and no idea for how long.

OP here, it's just naval strikes so far, but even being able to hit littoral shipping marks a significant degradation in the air defense cover over Crimea. The twitter thread reads like a lot of hopium, so a grain of salt is advised.
I don't think we're going to be seeing drones strangling main supply lines anytime soon.

Well aside from the fact that Ukrainians simply destroyed a lot of Russian AD systems, they also intensified rafinery attacks recently forcing Russian to choose where to place remaining AD units.
Rafinieries? Putin's private property? Large cities? MIC factories? Frontlines?
Now, we know that frontlines have the lowest priority so as long as they keep on pressing enough on rafineries I would expect this trend to continue.

They mostly do terror strikes because that's something you don't need any precise information for (or the information needed is freely available), but they'll occasionally hit something of note, when someone sells information or some retarded officer gathers troops in a exposed location.
The difference is those strikes are rare and Ukrainians are learning from them. Or in the case of striking Azeri-owner businesses in Odessa, biting them in the ass, pic kinda related.

Doubt anyone has that answer outside of gulags or upper ruskie eschelons. But, two possibilities.
1. They lacked the ability to do so because its a garbage ship. Either no aa or no aa worth a shit.
2. They were unwilling to do so.
I think #2 is the neater answer to think on, mostly because it doesn't beget an immediate sensible answer. Did they think they could get some kind of intel off of it? Those secrets got statistically cubed years ago.

Russia already had very low pilot hours before the war and I highly doubt that all of the RU refineries could make the required amounts of aviation fuel. Also russian quality control was never good, a lot of smoking accidents happened already and I wouldn't be surprised if a significant amount of the fuel meant foe combat aircraft only ever existed on paper and was just sold off to some guy for vodka.
So yeah, ukie air superiority is probably not just because russia lost a lot of planes but also because fuel was already short on hand but fighterbomber has not been bitching about it yet.
