Will pepper spray work against someone high on meth?
I have one of these at home and always carry a small Sabre 3-in-1 can
I'm being stalked by an ex who's apparently been using meth since we broke up 3 months ago. It would take ~6-9 months to get a CCW and I can't afford to move

It will get them to briefly be unable to see, which should be all you need to walk up and beat him to death with another weapon. If you're not prepared to beat someone till they stop moving using a weapon, you're not prepared to defend yourself and should restrain your movements to groups only.

A gun is so much more effective in the defense of one's life than any other option it's almost impossible to exaggerate the gap between a gun and options such as mace, tazers, and knives.

The success rate for gun defense when you actually manage to draw and fire the weapon is extremely high, like over 95%

I have a Mora 511 utility knife because my libcuck state has a 4" blade law. I don't want to have to use it though because there's the risk of cutting myself, having it taken from me and getting cut up, and the legal implications. But it's better than nothing I guess as a last resort weapon

The loser of a knife fight dies in the street and the winner dies in the ambulance. Methheads don't feel fear or pain, you'll stab them and they'll rip it out to stab you back. Pepperspray will blind them but it's not a guarantee to deter them.
You'd be better off investing in a good deadbolt with some very long screws anchoring your strike plate and an alarm system. Keep your head on a swivel and always know who's around you. Keep your back to walls and stand sideways in lines. Don't walk to your car by yourself if possible because that's where they usually try something.
Coincidentally these are all things you need to pay attention to once you get a CCW, so now's a great time to get a head start.

Are you a woman or a gayfag? If so, no jury would convict you for shooting your methhead ex with or without a CCW. If you're a man and your ex is a woman, then they probably would convict you even if you had a CCW.

Not reliably enough to bet your life on. For most DOD sentry training you have to get figure 8 sprayed will mil OC then run an assault course beating the shit out of 7 or 8 guys in red suits with your baton while they try to grapple you. Almost nobody fails the course. And a small group of guys are basically completely unaffected by the OC.

ASSUMING you get a good spray? It'll make them close their eyes, but it will not stop them.

But that's still useful. It'll give you an opportunity to either:
A) Hit them with an actual weapon
or
B) Run away

Why would it take you so long to get a firearm? You should be able to walk in to any gun store and walk out with one in 30 minutes. You might not be able to conceal carry it, but at least you'll have it for home defense.

I use oc spray at my job as an adult daycare provider (CO) and it is 50/50 if it works on someone tweaking. Granted most of our tweakers tend to use k2, so ymmv. I will say it is a great deterrent for non-hallucinating angry adult children though.

I was peppersprayed while drunk as hell and it absolulty did not work. It did eventually incapacitate me, but it took several minutes. Maybe 5. And in those 5 minutes between spray and uncontrollable pain i was pretty fucking unreasonable.
