There is a right way and a wrong way to do things. :)

"Flying Monkeys"?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCjz3HZ8M8w&t=744s DESU, those flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz seemed pretty scary. Ever seen WTF a monkey can do? Now imagine they FLYING WTF they feel like, like to outside of your window on the 6th floor, or to the trees when you thought you were out in middle of nowhere.

Couldn't they at least give this POS a nice set of soft side walls and roof, just to keep weather at bay if its gonna be a long haul or they gotta stay couped up all night? No reason with soft sides it couldn't have fairly effective HVAC.

"Air Transportable" or SELF AT? BTW, if a gyro can carry 3 guys in fully flying, it can carry at least 5 in WIG mode.

PS-I like how the targeting pod looks like a screaming monkey's head.

And the landing gear looks about right for decent ground based semi-off road travel, not just taxi on runway.

Chinese fishing fleet could "arrest" entire USN (except subs) at anytime merely by accidently (but legally) playing out prop fouling nets and lines.

How many Commercial Diver type dudes does the USN have? A decent amount, but not that many and cutting big nets and cables off props in open ocean damn hard, SLOW and dangerous work, and USN has no way to clear a path through open ocean of stray nets and cables.

They be trying to fabricate some big pole to sit in front of bow and maybe underwater welding shit on the hull ahead of props, and frequent full stop and clearing ops with aux vessels. Real shit show or "Chinese Fire Drill".

note ATGM are angle to allow firing while on ground. :)

they also say a GYRO is far more effective WIG that normal single wing AND its far more naturally "hands off auto altitude keeping", which kinda makes sense if you think about it. A normal WIG could likely nose into the ground but a GYRO in WIG will be self buffering because its wings will be going faster VS speed of craft.

Its about as close to a Star Wars "speeder" as exists. Solves land mine issues a lot better than "V bottom" of meat locker.

GYRO can VTOL in about 20mph wind, but can also "buddy launch" off another grounded GYRO's prop creating modest 20mph wind if ambient is dead calm.

GYROs are also naturally good at towing.

Does it have aft-firing flamethrowers and an aerial mine dispenser like in You Only Live Twice?

Oh my God, it's so adorable. Even has a little ball on the bottom like it's pretending to have optics!
