ST-50 / P50 / Space Guns
Anyone try out the ST-50 mod kit for the keltec p50? It looks sick if you're a space gun fetishist, and removes all the stapler-reload bullshit of the normal p50. I've heard the p50 has reliability issues, though. Is this true? And do they persist with the st-50 kit, or get better or get worse? Very curious to know.
Also, with it being an AR FGC, would it be compatible with some of the more popular FRTs for some brrrrrrrt fun with 50 round mags and low recoil? Sounds like a good time with a can on it.
What would you think of the st-50 with swing-stock for a noguns that will at most be able to be a one gun owner? Ideally I'd get a can to throw on that sucker, but that's getting pricier. But under $1k, if bought all new, for that setup sound appealing. Would like something more compact, and I just love space guns and the p90, which we're honestly getting near used prices with a FRT, but I don't think there's any FRT option for the ps90, and it'd be a pain to do whatever is required to get the barrel sawed and tapped (legally). I've never loved the vector, but it's grown on me like an abusive gf and is def space gun in the same price range. But p90 is best girl. What do??

I'm only going off what I've seen in videos, but it's constrained on all sides, it seems. That level at the front of the trigger guard is what's holding it in place, and I think it was a video at shot show trying to knock it hard out of position and it was in there nice and snug. But I can't speak for the gun beyond anything second hand.

You push the mag release out, not in. It's about as safe as the paddle release on HKs or the Walther P99.

They also make that kit for the "stizen" that PSA sells already modded, along with a hand guard from Midwest industries. Cycloidal mags are in the same league of swag that the p90 mags are. Plus think you can use a normal mag in those too. It's pretty space gun, and could look even more so with the right accoutrements.

Retarded. Youre dreaming about mag dumping 5.7 on full auto yet crying about $1000 budget.
For a 1 gun plan I'd get a revolver in 22lr, Ruger LCR and stop daydreaming until youre no longer a poorfag.

If I were a poorfag, I wouldn't be trying to mag dump 50 round mags of expensive ass 5.7, just pissing money out the barrel. I'm just setting a reasonable budget for the gun, especially considering the price of ammo. Having some money doesn't mean you just go and buy a pre-NFA mp5. Being a future onegun isn't money-related. More to do with where I live and the space available.

How the shit did the whole front trigger guard get removed while in its case. Wasn't just the reload paddle either, but the whole damn thing?

Here's my ST-R-50 in concept furniture. Took it to the range and it's a lot of fun and the kick is nonexistent. I'm probably going to SBR it to a 10.5" barrel. Hell maybe I should get two and dual wield with FRTs :0)
Reminder T6 and Black Fang are the best civvy 5.7 rounds, haven't tested them in this yet

She's a beaut! How's it been in terms of build quality/reliability? Heard the charging handle can be a bit fucked up on some. Does the conversion kit feel oem? And if you own any other space guns, is there anything you'd rec over it at around the $1k price range?

it's a gigantic piece of shit and I hate it
mine broke because the shitty molded-in threaded inserts on top of the receiver busted out, now it's useless
the AR FCG they supplied it with is a huge piece of shit, and it's not within spec, so cassette triggers will not work with it

to add, I have about 1k rounds through my P50 within competitions. after 750 rounds, it went down completely from fouling within the firing pin channel, but was a quick fix. The stapler reload is not an issue, it's no more irritating than that P90's reload if you practice it enough.
the ST50 has a major mag drop issue

One of the guys I saw review it on youtube said he was talking to the S&T team and they said they're working on an FRT version.
Holy shit I just went to their website it's out!

Imagine it, jungled stink50 with an FRT or SS. I'm waiting until next year so I can get it SBR'd for free (tax stamp goes to $0 next year) with a folding stock. 100 rounds right there on the gun and folds small enough to fit in a backpack. Great bugout or truck gun

Similar plan. I saw it was released when I messaged last friday. Not sure about frt or ss for it, but I'm going to get the kit anyway just because more reinforcement doesn't hurt and i really really like the idea of a less shitty charging handle. The one on the p50 feels like absolute ass.

Ps90 doean't have a pistol version, you'd need to sbr it and then have it cut. On top of that, fn parts limited. Keltec just has different build options and st50 really is just unfucking the methhead genius mistakes they made.

It's an aesthetic downgrade from the original config. I don't have a reason to get one because I already have an ar57, but if you don't have one then maybe it's worth it. The biggest advantage is frt compatibility, but I question the logic in dumping 5.7 into the trash like that. Though, a controllable fully semi automatic 5.7 would make one hell of a home defense weapon, at least until you get prosecuted for using it on the home invasion nog.
