Me personally I would go for the Aug, it’s definitely more unique, and from what I’ve heard M1As are not the best. They say M1As are expensive, an accurate one is even more expensive. It’s also heavy as fuck apparently and anytime you take it apart to clean it you have to resight it in.
Also in terms of the shotgun, I only have a pump, so I do long for a semi auto. I say go 1301. I’ve only heard good things.

It's a DB Alloy (DB-9 with steel reinforcing side rails). It's a 3d printed lower that takes an M11 upper, this upper is a MAF I got for $200. Idk if it'll accept an FRT but probably not. The bolt is completely different.

I'm biased but I say M14gery of some sort. Look around and see if you can get a secondhand LRB or low S/N M1A with GI parts. M14s have resale value of old milk, so it's always easier to find a deal on a used one.
A good shotgun is a better investment though since you already have a FAL.

I have owned an AUG and it left a poor taste. Horribly expensive and you really need to put even more money into it to make it acceptable by modern standards. KT RDB is much better value for money if you want a bullpup.
>>64271196
You should look into getting more pistols. Maybe a revolver or a .22 like a Ruger MKIV.
>>64272828
They have good receivers but a lot of the other components (particularly the soft bolts) tend to suck. Good for projects, but I wouldn't recommend one over a low S/N M1A.

Find a range that rents both and see which one you like. Subjectivity is in the eye of the beholder, and my opinion all bullpup style rifles are complete trash (Yes take your filthy yous). That said M14s and their variants tend to suck in general, but shooting them makes it worth it just for the metal clanking noises they make. It's your money choose what you want to do with it.

Bolt action is a golden state arms centurion model 120. It’s a Mauser action. My grandfather bought it in the 60s for something like 60 bucks, I still have the original receipt. It’s chambered in .30-06. The company was based out of California but unfortunately they went out of business decades ago.

Funnily enough, I used to own an M1A, and regret trading it off. And I also agree that all bullpups are trash, I just kind of like the Aug aesthetically, and a friend wanted to sell me his for a good price. I guess that narrows it down to the M1A. I really like that rifle's balance, and its the best rifle I've shot with in terms of accuracy.
