>DEY HAVE INSURANCE NOT MY PROBLEM ROBBERS WONT HURT ME FOR NO REASON!
The Hi-Fi Murders were a brutal home electronics store robbery in Ogden, Utah, on April 22, 1974, that left three people dead and two with severe, life-altering injuries. Three active-duty airmen from nearby Hill Air Force Base were convicted for the crime, which became notorious for its sadism and shocking violence.
The crime
On April 22, 1974, Airmen Dale Selby Pierre, William Andrews, and Keith Roberts, along with three other unidentified men, drove to the Hi-Fi Shop just before closing.
Hostages Five people were taken hostage in the store's basement. The group included employees Stanley Walker (20) and Michelle Ansley (18), as well as three people who came to the shop looking for their family members: Orren Walker (43), the father of Stanley; Carol Naisbitt (52); and her son, Cortney Naisbitt (16).
Torture The perpetrators forced the hostages to drink liquid drain cleaner, which severely burned their mouths and throats.
Sexual assault Michelle Ansley was raped by Pierre before being murdered.
Murder When the drain cleaner failed to kill the victims, Pierre shot each hostage in the head. Three victims died: Stanley Walker, Michelle Ansley, and Carol Naisbitt. Cortney Naisbitt and Orren Walker survived, though Orren was further tortured with a ballpoint pen forced into his ear canal.
