I live in Colorado and unfortunately they are incredibly fucking gay and are banning everything. Other than AR platforms, are there any serialized parts that I can buy that are relatively cheap or worth the money. They are banning all the cool guns on August of next year.

Or is there some way that I can still get rifles/guns despite the retarded ban? Pretty much every neighboring state allows you to buy whatever you want, but as far as I know, there is no legal way to buy guns in another state.

Maybe it's time to recognize you need to move to another state.

I've thought about it, but we bought a house here and my kids are pretty happy. I am a little worried about the crime and increasing Californication of this place. If I have to I will, but I want to stick it out as long as possible.

dont uproot your life just so you can consoom some guns. i'm a WAfag so i know your pain and as tempting it is to set up shop in another state i wouldn't get paid nearly as much, goddamn economy here is still too stronk.

I thought buying guns in another state was fine as long as it wasn't a handgun?

WAfag here and yeah its gay as AIDS.
Its demoralizing because we have limited money and time whereas the State has infinite money (and its our own being used against us), infinite time (a right delayed is a right denied to you, chud!), and in Dem supermajorities like WA the legislators and Supreme Court can just make things up on the spot.
>>64280085
Not really, if both parties are ok with a light bit of crime sure but at that point just go all the way and ignore all of the laws.
What I mean is when you're buying a rifle as an out of state resident, you as the buyer are supposed to follow the laws of the state you live in. It seems unconstitutional due to the Dormant Commerce Clause (tl;dr states can't regulate so strictly that it severely hinders interstate commerce). Additionally, the seller is not beholden to the state-level laws of a state they aren't residents of.
Handguns can be purchased out of state as well, the difference is they need to be mailed from the out of state dealer/seller to an FFL in your state of residence.

I'm just going to stock up on what I can right now and tough it out until I can move, or the miraculous case where things get better.
It's a shame because the state used to be so nice.

My state doesn't have it quite as bad, but I've been considering a move so I can buy and have what I want. No family yet and I'm remote, so the option is still open for now. Things at the state level keep getting more retarded and I dunno if I wanna stick around for it long term.

SB3 is supposed to force training courses last I checked, along with magazine weld. Bolts and shotguns will still be available, and in Sullivan's words he's not "banning" anything he's just permacucking the action which is about as bad.
It was already sort of fucked because any in-state arms-related purchases with credit cards (hope you've been paying in cash to the libertarian locals) now have a specific (((merchant))) code that is stored in a totally not firearms registry and is totally not a violation of the firearms act.
If things go well and if the ban passes, the sheriffs (54 out of 64 sheriffs are suing the state) outside of denver proper will continue to willfully ignore all the smaller non-bigbox stores that have been selling "parts kits" for existing guns though otherwise yeah you should probably buy whatever magazine fed thing you were eyeballing sooner than later.
As of this month, Colorado NRA is suing the state and given the current admin that could go well: "In addition to CSSA, the plaintiffs include a domestic violence survivor, firearms instructor, wounded Air Force veteran with limited hand mobility, former law enforcement officer, CSSA board member who feels that his identity as a gay Jewish man make him a target for hate crimes, and 19-year-old man who intends to buy a gun in Colorado when he turns 21."

A person can claim residency in South Dakota after staying there overnight and getting a mailbox service set up. There are companies that help with the paperwork etc. Just take a trip to SD, claim residency there, then buy what you want at an SD gunshop and bring it back to Colorado.

I (>>64282157) got curious and on that site it states that you can't buy bigbox which would make sense given that on a 4473 the address has to match where your actual domicile is by the ATFs discretion: https://choosesd.com/faqs/ "Can I purchase a firearm using this new South Dakota address?

With your new physical address containing a PMB, you will not be able to purchase a firearm directly from a gun shop or major retail outlet that sells firearms, such as Cabela’s. The ATF has enacted strict guidelines for the purchasing of firearms by people using Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies. If you would like to purchase a firearm, consider the secondary market."
Still, being able to buy a gun at all is better if it comes to that

It's not all bad, I'm sure SD has a pretty developed secondary market given that it's like Maryland's very own Delaware and now I know if it comes to it, thanks

in illinois they banned everything overnight, if you have until august buy all the shit you want now. AKs and ARs if you have the base gun you can still buy parts out of state. Dont wait and regret it. Its been 3 years and our ban isnt going anywhere anytime soon if they ever overturn it

Yes, but if you ever get into a self-defense incident and the prosecutor finds out you have the MMJ card, then you'll still face gun charges. No law enforcement agency is going to go door to door, but you still lost rights you should have and will get fucked in court if anything ever happens.

What ones are being banned that you want? Can you save and buy them?

If it’s mags and accessories and shit just buy them in a neighboring state.
